It took me a long time to feel pain in my head and Jess continued to sit beside me, letting me use his body as a support.
"Jess..."
"Hm? What's up?"
I swallowed my saliva once and looked at Jess who was waiting for me with a worried look on his face which made me feel a little guilty before I decided to say something I wanted to say to him all along.
"Could you take back the tray you brought earlier and close my bedroom door after this?"
From the look on his face, I could feel the disappointment on my best friend's face when he heard my request earlier, but I didn't want to let the tray that I hadn't touched since earlier sit on the nightstand for a long time.
Not after my last memories with my biological mother that I shouldn't remember anymore came out of nowhere along with the pain in my head which finally started to decrease after some time.
