Chapter 60 - Chapter 60

|3rd POV|

Ryan can only see red with Kokabiel's figure in his vision. Hearing and seeing Yasaka get injured made him mad, so mad that he did not think of anything but killing Kokabiel.

'Ryan! Ryan! Hold yourself together! Don't let your draconic urge overwhelm you!'

Grandeeney shouts from within his soul as she feels that Ryan gets consumed by Dragon's Rage. As he continues to use Dragon Force Mode, his body slowly starts to change into a dragon. He will not turn into a dragon because of his connection with Grandeeney, but he still has the characteristics of a dragon.

One of them is Dragon's Rage, a state where dragons, blinded by their rage, can only think one thing: destroying the one that makes them mad. When a dragon is in this state, they cannot differentiate between enemy and ally. As long as he kills the one that makes them mad, they will not care about the casualties, even when that said casualties are their allies.

Ryan roars and releases a massive torrent of wind enchanted with lightning and fire.

When his attack hits the ground, it explodes and creates a dome of destruction with Kokabiel in the middle of it. However, instead of dying, Kokabiel proves himself to be stronger than he looks. He is still standing. He is full of injuries, but he is still standing.

He snarls and shouts.

"Attack him! Kill him!"

The other Fallen Angels snap from their shock and start to throw their light-based attack at Ryan. Seeing the incoming attack, Ryan roars at them and creates a massive wind tunnel to change the direction of the attack.

He returns the attack to the one casting them and flies alongside that attack. He uses his claws to rip apart the enemy's throat or stab their heart. He moves from one place to another at lightning speed, making the Fallen Angels have a hard time hitting him.

The only person who can stop him appears in front of him and swings his sword. Sadly for him, Ryan sees the attack coming and blocks it.

Kokabiel snarls at Ryan and shouts.

"Die, you beast!"

Kokabiel claps his hand, and a massive beam of light flies at Ryan on the ground. Ryan releases a loud roar and greets the beam of light with his Sky Dragon Roar. The two attacks collide and create a massive explosion.

Kokabiel is about to release another attack but stops and raises his left hand to block an incoming attack. He grunts as a heavy blow is delivered by Ryan, and he holds himself from getting thrown to the ground.

He throws his fist forward and starts an unarmed combat with Ryan. Ryan dodges the incoming attack as his Senjutsu is at its full power and can see clearly all the attacks Kokabiel throws at him. Ryan dodges and blocks all the incoming attacks before doing a counterattack.

He thrust his fist forward and saw Kokabiel dodge the attack. Sadly, the invisible natural energy hit Kokabiel with the same force as his punch. Kokabiel did not have the time to look at Ryan in shock as Ryan kept throwing a flurry of attacks at the Cadre.

After a few seconds of getting beaten up, Kokabiel has enough and screams in anger. As he screams, a massive energy explodes from him and throws Ryan a couple of meters away.

"I have enough of this game!" Kokabiel creates a long sword made of light. "Die!"

Sadly for him, he is not the only one who has a sword. Ryan takes out a sword from his Requip magic. Doujigiri Yasutsuna, in his hand, eagerly absorbs all the energy Ryan gives it. The sword now channels four types of energies. The first one is Sky Dragon Slayer Mana, Natural Energy, Divine Lightning, and Chakra, making it even stronger than before.

As Kokabiel swings his sword, Ryan is able to block it, and when he is about to make another attack, Ryan opens his mouth and releases a torrent of wind. Kokabiel can only release the lock position and block the incoming attack, but sadly for him, Ryan already appears to his side and swings his sword.

Wind Breathing First Form: Dust Whirlwind Cutter

Ryan dashes forward and continuously slashes at Kokabiel in a cyclone pattern, creating an actual cyclone that tears apart Kokabiel's flesh. By the time Kokabiel manages to block his attack, Ryan abandons his sword and exploits Kokabiel by getting on his back and ripping one of his remaining wings.

"ARRGHHH!"

As Kokabiel screams in pain, Ryan grabs his leg and throws him to the ground, creating a massive crater from the impact. Ryan then combines all the energy in his command on his right leg and flies at Kokabiel.

He makes a dive bomb at the Fallen Angel and creates a massive explosion. The end result is Kokabiel lying on the ground, unconscious and on the brink of death. Ryan lands next to Kokabiel and combines his energy on the tip of his right hand.

He arrives next to the Fallen Angel and thrusts his hand. However, before he can kill him, someone holds his hand back. Ryan roared at the intruder, but the woman did not move an inch. This woman is Yasaka, who looks at Ryan and says,

"Ryan! Snap it! This is not you! Please… I know you want to kill; trust me, I want to kill him as well. However, the Youkai race will get the bad end of the aftermath, and I did not want that. Please, Ryan…. For me?"

Ryan hesitates for a second as his humanity gets back, but his anger still clouds his mind, and continues to push forward. The thing that stops him completely is someone who hugs his back. It was Asia. She, with the help of the Karasu Tengu, manages to get close to Ryan.

"Ryan… Please listen to sister Yasaka. You have spilled enough blood. Please… I don't want to see you like this. Please…"

Ryan finally snaps from his rage and takes a deep breath. He slowly changed into his human form, and his eyes can now see clearly. He can even feel Grandeeney nod her head proudly for what he has done. She knows that overcoming Dragon's Rage is something normal people cannot overcome. Seeing her other child manage to overcome it makes her proud.

"I am sorry for that, Yasaka, Asia."

Yasaka smiles brightly and hugs him. Asia, who still has tears in her eyes, also hugs him tightly. The three of them keep hugging each other until the barrier around their mansion disappears, and the people outside walk toward them.

Yasaka releases the hug and looks at Azazel with a serious expression.

"Azazel. I hope you have a good reason for this."

The Governor General of Grigori can only sigh and say.

"Will it help that I did not have any involvement in this mess?"
