Chapter 152 - Chapter 152

"Interesting."

Zelretch says to me while looking at the way I use a Thu'um.

"What do you feel in your throat after you shout?"

"The first time? It is numb. From my throat to my mouth, I cannot feel anything. It is a weird experience."

"How about your soul? I can see it flicker when you do your shout."

"I did not feel anything at the moment. However, when I first used it, I felt really tired. So tired that I cannot even stand up. It is not coming from my body or my mana core but rather from my soul."

Zelretch looks closer to me and says.

"You do have five kinds of energy. The first one is mana, which comes from your mana core. Soul Energy comes from your soul. Ki, from your soul. Combination of Ki and mana. Lastly, the energy you absorb from the world itself."

"What do you get from all this? We have been standing in this clearing for three hours."

"Be patient, my dear. Experiments require patience. At the moment, I am gathering information, and it is fascinating to see something like your attack."

"Yeah. Yeah. Can we return to the city? It has been hours since we are here. The cold did not bother me in the first hour, but it started to freeze my butt. I am not a Nord who has a high resistance to cold and ice."

"Nord? Are they the Nordic people of this world?"

"Yup."

He nods his head and says.

"I see. Anyway, we can go back if you want. I can gather more information regarding your power from a book or something."

"Then you might want to go to the College of Winterhold. They are the biggest and the oldest Magic School in Skyrim."

"I might as well do that. Where is it?"

"They are in the Northern side of Skyrim. It is in the northernmost part of Skyrim. Go to the Northeast of Skyrim, and you will notice it immediately. That is the only place where you can feel a massive amount of mana."

"I will do that. What will you do from now on? I will visit this college and see if I can learn one or two about magic in this world."

"Like usual, explore the world and hunt more dragons. That is my mission in this world, after all."

"Right. What I want to ask you is how long until you depart from this world?"

"Ah, that… Another two months."

Yeah. That will do. I have already noticed that the dragons around the world are starting to go into hiding, and each time they go around and wreak havoc, I will appear and kill them. They might be a prideful race, but they are not stupid.

They know as long as I am still alive, they are the ones that get hunted instead of the hunter. Because of this, they go into hiding. They want Alduin to defeat the Dragonborn, but sadly, he has already entered the Sovngarde.

That leaves me hunting the dragons, who are stupid enough to wreak havoc around Skyrim. I also want to visit all the Words Walls around Skyrim. Two months should be enough.

"Two months, gotcha. I will meet you in two months."

After saying that, he disappeared and left me alone.

"At least take me back to Whiterun, you bastard. Oh well."

I shake my head and start running down the mountain.

"You guys are fast."

I look at Commander Maro, who is wearing an outfit that looks like an adventurer rather than a commander. However, I can see the familiar soldier from Bruma also come with him. They are looking at me warily, and some even with fear.

"I am here to apologize."

"Oh?"

"I am going too far. You come to us with a good intent, but I spit on it. For that, I am sorry from the bottom of my heart."

I look at him for a few seconds before saying.

"I accept your apology. Is there anything else?"

He hesitated for a second before saying.

"Can I ask you to take us to the sanctuary? Our lord is willing to triple the compensation and ensure you get something worthy of your time. I swear it in my family's name and under the watch of the Eight Divines."

I look at him for a few seconds before nodding my head. I get up from my chair and say.

"Very well. We will depart now. We should be able to arrive in Riverwood just after the sun goes down. Come."

Commander Maro nods his head and follows me. We are about to hunt down the Dark Brotherhood. While they are the faction I always join each time I play Skyrim, destroying their guild is something that I have wanted to do for a long time.

Well, I kill Astrid every now and then, but it was because of the speedrunning strategy. I never do this if I play a regular playthrough because the reward is not good enough. However, I cannot help but be excited by the reward I will get after killing them all.

"We are getting near. Prepare yourself."

I can smell it—the smell of death and poison. I can see Commander Maro and the others take out their weapons and prepare. We go through the forest and make sure to disable all the traps without notifying the assassin in their base.

However, as we get closer to the sanctuary, my vision is engulfed with bright light, and suddenly, I appear in a familiar snow desert. I can see Orkey already waiting for me, standing in the middle of the snow with Aurora dancing above him.

"Welcome back, Dragonborn."

"Greetings, God Orkey. What can I do for you?"

"Nay. It is not me who needs your help. It is her."

I look to the side and see a red-haired woman walk toward me. She is wearing leather armor and holding a bow in his right hand with an axe sitting on her hip. She is tall. She is even taller than Orkey, who I know is around two meters tall. She is not bulky, but I can see muscle behind her leather armor.

I look above when I hear a screech and see a hawk land on her right shoulder, looking at me with eyes that can look through my soul.

"You are a Dragonborn. However, you are not the chosen one. You are a soul not from here. I wonder if the Dragon of Time takes your soul from the past or from the future. Nay. There will be no more Dragonborn in the future, as the last one has already been born. That leaves it from the past. How right am I?"

I look at her for a second before saying.

"I am sorry. I promised never to tell a single soul about my origin."

"And that Dragon also made you promise him, hmmm? You are his champion, after all. Very well. I shall not force you to tell me."

She nodded her head and looked me right in the eyes. I can see she releases an aura, and the realm starts to change. The calm sky now gets dark. The clouds cover the stars, and thunder appears in the sky.

"With the permission of Akatosh, I command you to get rid of the pawn of Sithis. Their presence in my land is no longer permitted. Do so, and you shall have my blessing."

I nod my head and say.

"I shall do it."

"Good. You may go now."

After she said that, I could see that I had arrived in front of a familiar door. I blink for a second and hear Commander Maro whisper.

"We are ready."

I look at him and nod my head. I will think about how the two of them control my body to let it arrive at its destination. I walk toward the door and hear a whisper.

"What is the music of life?"

"Silence, my brother."

I whisper back and see the door open.

"Welcome home"

As the door opens, I can see one assassin behind the door, and I shout.

"Fus Ro Dah!"
