"Here you go. The head of a bandit in the Redoran's Retreat."
I give Proventus the box and see him open it up. Inside the box is the bandit leader's head as the proof of bounties is fulfilled.
"Perfect. Here is your reward."
He gives me a bag of gold, and I nod my head.
"This is the third group of bandits you kill in a day. You work quickly, Dragonborn."
"They are not as powerful as they thought they were."
He only shakes his head and says.
"Only you who can say something like that. There are a lot of adventurers who died trying to kill them, but here you are, killing them quickly."
He gives the box to one of the guards and says.
"Can I ask if you are ready to do some healing? The Jarl already prepared a perfect place for you to heal the people."
"How about after I eat something? It is almost noon, and I am famished."
"You forget to eat breakfast. The servant is a little bit sad that you left the breakfast they prepared."
"Ah, I am sorry about that. If I do not go early in the morning, I cannot complete all the bounty."
"Fair enough. Come on. We will have a small feast in the dining room."
"Not in the throne room?"
"Sadly, no. The Jarl needs to prepare for guests from Solitude and cannot join us."
"A shame. Oh well. Let's get going."
==||==
"Here you go. Make sure not to carry something too heavy for a day or two. Also, I need you to eat more."
"Of course, healer! Thank you, healer."
He gave me two gold coins and left the tent. It has been three hours since I started the healing duty, and I underestimated the people that need healing. I know that there are a lot of people in this city, but I forget more people are living outside the wall, and they are coming here to ask me to heal them.
Luckily, there are guards outside my tent that ensure the people come in an orderly manner, or it will be a mess.
"Healer"
I snap from my thoughts and see a woman enter my tent while holding a child in her hand.
"Healer, please help my daughter."
"Please put her on the bed."
She quickly put her daughter on the bed, and I started to scan her using my Sky Dragon Slayer magic. After a few seconds, I nod and say.
"Dysentery?"
"Huh? Is my daughter okay? Can you treat her?"
"Don't worry. It is an easy fix."
I start to cure her sickness and heal her body. After a few seconds, the little girl looks at me in wonder and says,
"Thank you, healer."
"Think nothing of it, dear."
I look at the woman and say.
"Please make sure to boil your water before consumption to ensure your family does not get Dysentery."
"Thank you, healer. Thank you. I shall inform my family about it."
"Good. Take a seat."
"Eh? Ah, I did not need any healing, healer! I only brought two gold coins."
"Don't worry. This one is for free."
She hesitates for a second before nodding her head. I check her and cure any sickness, then heal her body. After thanking me for the sixth time, she left the tent, and I waited for my next patient.
As I wait for my next patient, I hear Thu'um coming from the distance.
"DOVAHKIIN"
Urgh. The Greybears are looking for me, huh? I don't want it. I already have many things in my hand, and I don't think I need to learn anything from them. Not only that, but Akatosh also taught me how to control my Thu'um. I don't think I need their teaching that much.
Don't get me wrong; I wanted to learn from them but did not have time to do so.
I give an apologetic smile at my next patient and leave the tent. I look to the sky, take a deep breath and shout.
"NIID"
There you go. That should do it. I rejected their offer and entered the tent once again.
"Sorry about that."
"Don't mention it, healer. However, what do you say to them? You are talking to the Greybeards, yes?"
"Yup. I tell them no. I will not answer their call."
He looks at me in shock and says.
"Y-You reject their invitation, healer?"
Ah, the Greybeards are some kind of spiritual leader for the Nord people. I guess I understand the reason why he looks at me with that expression.
"Yes. I did not have time to answer their call as I needed to go to Riften to take care of a problem. A problem that can destroy half of Skyrim."
The man looks at me with a shocked expression and says.
"Y-You are serious. There is truly something that can destroy half of Skyrim."
"Yup. It is an underground burial zone just southeast of Ivarstead."
"Then why don't you stop in Ivarstead instead of Riften?"
"I need to kill a dragon that makes a nest not too far away from Riften."
"Ah, I heard about that news as well. I hear the dragon eat a lot of the local farmer's cows."
"Yeah. I need to take care of that dragon first and then go west to take care of the real problem."
I look at him and say.
"Anyway! We should heal your broken arms first before having another conversation."
He nods and sits on a chair next to me.
"Please tell me when it hurts too much."
I push my dragon slayer magic to act as a painkiller and pop his bone right into its normal position. I heal his broken bones and make sure nothing is left inside his body. After a minute of healing, I nod and say.
"You are good to go."
"Thank you so much, healer. Here is your payment."
I receive my payment and say.
"Make sure not to carry anything too heavy, or your arms will get hurt once again."
"Of course, healer. I will also inform my cousin in Riften to ensure he receives you in the city. You might already hear this, but Riften is full of corrupt people, and I don't want you to get treated wrongly by the guard."
"That would be great. However, are you sure? I don't want to bother your cousin."
"Don't worry about it. He is the city's guard captain. It is not a problem for him."
After saying that, he left the tent, and my next patient entered the tent.

|3rd POV|
"My lady, I bring news to you."
A Bosmer, Wood Elf, kneels in front of an old woman wearing fancy clothes and has a ring with a flower carved on the jewel of the ring. This old woman is Maven Black-Briar, the True Leader of Riften City and the underworld Queen of Skyrim.
"What is it, Anuriel? It is rare to see you coming here yourself."
Anuriel is the Steward of Laila Law-Giver, the Jarl of Riften, and the spy for Maven. Anuriel gets up and says.
"That is because something big is coming to Riften, my lady."
"Oh? Do tell. "
"A Dragonborn will come to visit Riften, and he will come here to take care of our dragon problem."
Maven's eyes light up and say.
"Perfect! That is good news. However, that still does not tell me the reason why you came here personally and risked your position."
"That is because of your soon-to-be guest, my lady. You know that the Thieve Guild is trying to spread their name, right? I am afraid that some of the stupid members will try to rob the Dragonborn. He is a Thane of two holds, the Haafingar and the Pale. The letter I just received also tells me that he will soon be a Thane of Whiterun. If the Thieve Guild tries to rob him, he complains to the other Jarls…"
"It will hinder my business. I see now."
Maven nods his head and says.
"Tell the guild not to cause any problem with the Dragonborn, this one. Tell them he is my guest, and anyone who tries to rob him will feel my wrath."
"Of course, my lady."
"Lastly, tell the guards and the inn owner to receive him as if he is a member of my house. He will take care of the dragon that burns one of my vineyards. The faster he is done, the better, and I don't want bad service to hinder his job."
"Of course, my lady."
"Also, push the Jarl to reward him when the job is done."
"I understand, my lady."
"Good. You are dismissed."
Maven releases a sigh and takes a sip of the wine in Cyrodil while looking out of her office. It is hard to be the true ruler of the Rift, but the power that comes with that title is worth it.
"It is good to be a queen."
