Alright. " Rue dropped the matter as Ava doesn't want to talk about it. She can't help but worry because the people those foolish father and son have gotten involved with are no ordinary people. But since Ava said to let them be then she will do just that.
" Are you going to bed now or.. " Rue asked as she stood up.
"I have work. " Ava replied. That sentence was enough for Rue to know that her presence was not needed again. She bade Ava goodnight before leaving the room for her own room. She had a room here incase she comes for late night meeting such as this. On way her she passed by the room where Gavriel was staying. Her expression turned cold as she glance at the door. Whoever this person is, she was sure that he had an ulterior motive for seeking Ava and that thought did not settle well with her.
When she got to her room, she saw a white cat lying comfortably on the large bed. She went straight to thr bathroom to freshen up before joining the cat on the bed.
" I don't know why he us here if that is why you are here. " Rue said as she made herself comfortable under the duvet. " Buy you know and I know you won't tell me or anyone else for that matter but keep an eye on her. It's the least you can do for keeping us still in the dark. " Rue said before she closed her eyes.
The white cat opened it eyes when Rue's breath became even. It's green eyes were sharp and calculating as it looked into space. Its eyes were becoming colder by each second that passes by. The cat elegantly stood as it stretch it limbs before it disappeared into thin air.

For the next few weeks, Ava ignored Gavriel's presence in the house and he didn't mind it. He already expected such reaction from her or even worse. So her ignoring him was a not a big deal for him.. well for now.
Days turned into weeks and weeks into months but the two strangers lived in the same house without speaking much words to each other until one night. It was dinner time and as usual Ava but Gavriel was not at the table yet.
"Mr Luxston asked me to tell you he won't be joining you for dinner tonight. " Charles said when he saw Ava's questioning gaze. Ava raised her brow at the message. This was new, him not joining her for dinner considering the facts that he always eat with her at the table.
She did not comment on the matter as she focused on eating her food. Dinner was sort of boring for Ava. It was too quiet, the only thing one could here was the continuous clanking of the cutleries on the plates. She finished her food quickly before leaving the room.
"When the guests comes back, take him to my study. " She said to Charles who was following her.
"Yes ma'am. " Charles replied.
"Is everything ready. " She asked as they entered the elevator. Charles imputed the floor they were heading.
"Yes ma'am. " Charles responded as he understood what she was asking of.
After a while, Ava called him. "Charles.. "
"Yes ma'am. " He replied immediately.
"Stop it. " Ava said making Charles confused with the sudden order.
"Stop.. what.. exactly ma'am? " He asked cautious of her reaction.
"Calling me that. " Ava sighed. Charles became even more confused.
" How then should I - "
"Ava. Call me Ava. " She cuts him off. Charles frowned at her words. Calling her, his employer, by her name was not acceptable under any circumstances.
"I can't do that miss. "
"But you could years back. " Ava snorted coldly as she opened her eyes.

In another part of the city away from the gloomily atmosphere was a completely different vibe. The loud music coupled with people smashing themselves together dancing away their worries of life. Three men were seated inside a lounge away from the madness happening below. Those three men were naturally Gavriel, Alvin and Seth.
"Isn't it past dinner time? " Seth asked Gavriel but he was not given any reply. So he continued. " So.. how is it going so far? No dinner tonight? "
"Seth! " Alvin warned.
"What?! Aren't you curious also. He has been living with her for the more than a month now. Come on! " He huffed while glared at Alvin.
"Bloody fuck, shut up Seth. " Alvin sighed tired of his incessant blabbering. He wondered why the guy was still alive with his whole limbs intact and functioning.
Seth just ignored him and continued talking. " Any progress yet? Have you gotten her to start speaking with you? Do you need advice? " He asked all at once as he stared at Gavriel in anticipation. Alvin worries too much most... no all the time. They were here to have fun tonight but look at where they are, far from where all the fun is actually happening.
"Don't you think sister-in-law will be waiting for you. "
