Once upon a midnight dreary, as I pondered, weak and weary, a chill ran up my spine as I heard the faintest of cries. I followed the sound to the corner of the room, where I found a ghostly figure, shrouded in white. Its eyes were dark and hollow, and its lips were blue. It spoke to me in a voice that seemed to come from beyond the grave, telling me of its sorrows and of its longing for peace. I listened to its tale, as it wept and shivered, and I tried to console it. When it was done, it disappeared into the shadows, leaving me feeling empty, yet strangely content.
continue reading for the beginning of Sarah village story.
In a small and secluded village nestled deep in the woods, there lived a young girl named Sarah. She was a curious and adventurous child, always eager to explore the dense forest that surrounded her home.
One day, while wandering through the woods, Sarah stumbled upon a dilapidated old cabin. It was clear that the cabin had been abandoned for many years, but something about it called out to her, and she felt compelled to investigate.
As she approached the cabin, Sarah couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The air was thick with an eerie silence, and the only sound was the soft rustling of leaves beneath her feet.
Despite her growing sense of unease, Sarah pushed open the door and stepped inside. The cabin was dark and musty, with cobwebs covering every surface. Sarah's eyes slowly adjusted to the dim light, and she began to make out the shapes of furniture that had long since rotted away.
As she made her way deeper into the cabin, Sarah suddenly heard a strange noise coming from the back room. She hesitated for a moment, but her curiosity got the better of her, and she cautiously made her way towards the source of the sound.
As she reached the back room, Sarah was greeted with a sight that made her blood run cold. Lying on a dusty old bed was a figure, covered in tattered robes and with a hood obscuring its face. The figure was making a low and guttural noise, and Sarah couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman.
Terrified, Sarah turned to run, but the figure suddenly lunged at her, revealing a grotesque and twisted face beneath the hood. Sarah screamed and stumbled backwards, tripping over a pile of debris and falling to the ground.
As she lay there, too scared to move, the figure loomed over her, its twisted face inches from her own. But then, as suddenly as it had lunged at her, the figure let out one final gurgling noise and collapsed to the ground, dead.
Shaken and trembling, Sarah stumbled back to her village and told her story to anyone who would listen. But no one believed her, and many thought she had simply imagined the whole thing.
Years went by, and Sarah never spoke of the incident again. But she never forgot that terrifying encounter in the old cabin deep in the woods, and she avoided that part of the forest for the rest of her days.
As the years passed, the villagers began to notice a strange and disturbing trend. Every year, on the anniversary of Sarah's encounter, a hooded figure would appear in the village, wandering the streets and making that same low and guttural noise.
The villagers never saw the figure's face, and no one dared to approach it. But they all knew that it was the same twisted and grotesque creature that Sarah had encountered all those years ago.
Some say that the figure was the ghost of the person who died in the cabin, cursed to wander the earth for all eternity. Others say it was a demon, summoned by Sarah's curiosity and her intrusion into the cabin. But whatever the truth may be, you have to continue reading for the next mistrey.
John and Sarah had been driving for hours, looking for the old abandoned house they had heard about. It was said to be an old mansion, but no one seemed to know the exact location.
Finally, they spotted a large shape looming in the darkness. It was the house they had been searching for. John and Sarah got out of the car and cautiously approached the house. The front door was slightly ajar and the windows were covered in cobwebs.
They stepped inside and were immediately greeted by an eerie silence. The walls were covered in peeling wallpaper and the floor creaked with every step. There were no lights on and the only light came from the moonlight streaming through the windows.
Suddenly, the silence was broken by a loud crash from upstairs. John and Sarah froze in place, their hearts racing. They inched their way up the stairs, their breathing shallow.
At the top of the stairs, they saw a door that was slightly ajar. Cautiously, they pushed it open and stepped inside. Inside, they found a large room filled with furniture. There was a desk in the corner with a large book on it.
John and Sarah slowly made their way around the room, taking in the strange objects scattered around. Suddenly, they heard a loud banging coming from the other side of the room.
John and Sarah rushed over to the source of the noise and found a small door. They opened it and were shocked to find a man inside, chained to the wall. He begged them to help him, telling them he had been kidnapped and held hostage in the house.
John and Sarah quickly freed the man, but then realized they were in danger. The kidnapper had to be somewhere in the house and they had no idea where he was.
They all ran out of the house and drove away as fast as they could. John and Sarah had just escaped a terrifying kidnapping, but their adventure was far from over. The kidnapper was still out there and he was determined to get his revenge.
