"Really? It will be my honor to do so!" [Neloufa]
"What are you two talking about?" [Marianne]
"Neloufa will be the flower girl for my brother's wedding" [Diana].
"So the rumor is really true..." [Marianne]
"Well, the wedding will probably be next year, so there's plenty of time left" [Diana]
"That early?" [Adnan]
"Wow! Congratulations!" [Kara]
"But next year... No, never mind" [Mara]
"Is it wrong if it's next year?" [Tio]
"Well, there's a lot going on, so I'm sure they'll be busy all year long, even until next year, but let's just hope for the best" [Diana].
Let's break down the reasons why we are busy one by one
1. Upgrading the Werehouse so that we can use it to connect Amleth to the Elven Kingdom.
2. Preparing to connect the two lands
3. The meeting, the endless meeting and sea of files and work to make it a success
4. The conference between the countries involved, which will be held soon
5. The international conference that's set between the countries, on their preparations for the awakening of the Devil King
6. The actual implementation of the project by the end of this year, which is about 4-5 months, give or take.
7. Likely war once Emperor Justin of the Empire actually dies!
8. And among many other things, like who will be the next Saga, the suspicious movement of Gastrium, the recent uprising on the Southern Island, the spat between Pope Alexander and Saint Louis, the rumored assassination attempt on the last heir of the now fallen kingdom, the demon royal prince Zerolith!
Well, as for point number seven, even if that emperor is still alive, another war, probably next year based on their discussion, will still take place. That's scary. I really hope the Empire isn't stupid enough to do that. They praise Prince Rufus for being an intellectual, so how come he doesn't see that war benefits no one?
As for the last one, it's basically out of our control, and yet we have to stay informed one way or another, and maybe they'll be sent. What a nuisance!
On the bright side, the news of marriage of my two brothers is well celebrated among the Amlethians. The succubi wanted to help in any way they could, even going so far as to beg us to let them help prepare the entire wedding. Sister Jean wanted to say no at first, but they insisted, and they will present a draft that they are sure everyone will agree with. Well, as long as I get to be the flower girl along with Neloufa, and as long as the wedding actually happens, I don't really mind.
The Opera House is going to make an orchestra like no other, one that will rival even the great Orchestra of the Empire, and one that will put the Orchestra of the South Island to shame! I can't wait to see how they do it.
The Church is also giving its full support. Saintess Rumia and Cardinal Davis will bless the wedding themselves. They will celebrate her paladin marriage to Brother Nar after all.
As for the country itself, Aunt Amleth hasn't really said anything yet, but I'm sure she's planning something. Our family is close, but as Nar and Sas said, as long as Auntie Amleth gives her blessing to the marriage, they're more than happy. I agree.
As for those who are bitter about the news, well, it's funny no matter how I look at it. For one thing, Dana's classmates can't help but feel like they're the ones who should be marrying Brother Nar or Sas. I laughed so loudly when Dana said it that I threw up on my glass of milk.
Then there are other noble houses. I thought they would respect Brother Nar and Sas' decision, but surprise, surprise, the marriage proposal and their attempts to make them fall in love with each other increase. While Sister Jean is actually jealous, Linda's reaction is that of a strange one. "Try your best," she says, knowing full well that Brother Sas isn't the least bit interested. They really trust each other, don't they?
There are many things that are sure to happen before the wedding, that's one thing we're all sure of. For now, as Sister Khamisah and Ophelia say, we need to slowly prepare for everything.
