"I heard it... You really have a knack for causing trouble wherever you go" [Farhana].
"In my defense, they're the one who starts it, almost every single time" [Diana]
"I wish I could see his face... Pretty sure I'll be laughing" [Farhah]
"Mother... I don't know how to react" [Farhana].
"It's okay. He's still your father, you can show your sympathy" [Farhah]
"Is he mean to you at work too?" [Diana]
"No, if anything, he treats me like any other person" [Farhana]
"Even though you're his daughter?" [Diana]
"That's just him. Sigh... The only thing I am happy about from that forced marriage are my three children..." [Farhah]
"Again, I don't know how to react" [Farhana]
"Diana, if you are ever forced to marry someone and you don't want to, tell me. I'll protect you no matter what" [Farhah].
"I can't imagine my family doing that to me" [Diana].
If anything, I'm pretty sure they'll beat anyone who tries to lay a hand on me. I don't know who has the guts to try, but lately there are less and less informal ways to get my hand for marriage. Perhaps they have all finally realized how useless it is, but I have a feeling that Nar, Sas, Head Maid, and Aunt Amleth are working tirelessly behind the scenes to make it happen. They say not to approach the other two dukes yet, so
"Understood. The next time I am in Amleth, I will make those two dukes regret it" [Farhah].
"Please don't..." (She speaks innocently... Does she even know what her brothers are doing behind her back? I can only imagine...) [Farhana]
The next day, it's supposed to be another day of waiting where the council continues to argue whether or not I can enter the realm of the World Tree. I thought I would be all alone again, but
"This is what elves usually wear here? Kind of strange" [Diana].
"You see, elves usually work in the forest, so with that in mind, they designed this so that their clothes wouldn't get stuck in a branch. This will allow for freedom of movement and will also not leave any traces, otherwise who knows what will happen" [Farhah].
"It's still embarrassing... My usual clothes usually cover my arms and legs. Don't they have those?" [Diana]
"Of course they do" [Farhah]
"Then I want them instead of this... please" [Diana]
"I wanted to look at you in our traditional clothes, but how can I resist those puppy eyes" [Farhah].
"Thank you!" [Diana]
Grandmother leaves her work for fear that something will happen to me. The priest and the priestess try to get her to work again, but she won't listen to them. I don't know what her work is today, and I can see the priest and priestess telling me to help them. I feel sorry for them so
"You see my work? Today is just to bless others with the Radiant of the World Tree. Nothing so important" [Farhah].
"IT IS!"
"It's not so different from praying to the goddess, if you ask me..." [Farhah]
"Can anyone explain it to me?" [Diana]
Radiant from the World Tree, it's basically what Saintess Rumia did. Speaking, blessing others with the Goddess Grace through herself. I see
"I'm sure Goddess Favorite Daughter is better at it than I am" [Farhah].
"I'm not sure, although I can occasionally hear the goddess when Saintess Rumia is around" [Diana].
"You what..."
"Are you serious?"
"Please tell me you're joking."
"Understandable. She's not joking" [Farhah].
"Really!?"
"You doubt us, don't you? Well, you should see for yourself" [Farhah].
We went to the meeting place in front of the entrance to the World Tree Realm. It is a vast and picturesque plain full of flowers and trees of all colors. One could very well become one with nature itself. It's a place of religious significance as well as a tourist attraction. To enter the World Tree Kingdom, there's a gate that only the World Tree Priestess can pass through. Correction, the World Tree Priestess is the only one who can pass through it because she has received permission from the World Tree. I'm sure I'm a guest of the World Tree, so I should be able to pass through the gate, but the Council doesn't even want me to.
Countless elves are waiting for Grandma Farhah. There are also tourists of other races who know their etiquette well and are just observing all this. There is an altar. A big one, where the door to the realm of the World Tree stands. Strangely, none of the elves are standing inside the altar. When Grandma Farhah enters the altar, I follow her.
"Huh? Are there any thin clothes here? I feel like I am passing through some" [Diana].
"This is the barrier that prevents other unauthorized people from entering the World Tree Realm. It's proof that you are indeed a guest and someone who has been given permission to enter the World Tree Kingdom" [Farhah].
"No way!"
"A human child who can enter the altar!"
"She's the one the priestess said!? Her guest, right?"
"So that's why the altar is empty. It's simply because they couldn't enter it" [Diana].
I can see that the other elves are making a big fuss about it. But more importantly, when Grandma Farhah starts to do her job.
(Goddess? And another voice...) "Is that the voice of the World Tree?" [Diana]
"Half right" [Farhah]
What did she mean?
"STOP right there!" [Iligast]
"Trouble is coming..." [Diana, Farhah]
