I am angry. I am very angry. This is the second time I have been kidnapped! Am I that kidnappable? Is that even a term? Fortunately, I don't think I'm in any danger now. My blessing isn't activated, even though I'm still in an unknown forest.
Since I am in an unfamiliar place, I have introduced myself to the forest. They are surprised because I am able to communicate freely with them, just like their priestess does... Did they mean Miss Farhah, the mother of Mr. Elegast? So I am somewhere in the land of the elves.
The monster that tried to transport me somewhere unsafe for me must have failed. I can't sense her nor the group of elves at all. The collision of Master Merlin, Miss Linda, and that monster's space magic must have caused the instability. Still, this wasn't just typical teleportation magic. There are components of plant magic on it as well. I am confused. How can plant magic be combined with space magic to allow such long distance travel? I should probably ask someone about this later. Maybe this is a new spell they have invented. If that's the case, I should replicate it for my own sake.
"Ohh... Master Merlin's spell... It's getting weaker... and now it's gone. I hope she can trace it" [Diana].
I can't believe that I'm somehow able to defend myself against a group of elves while Master Merlin's spell is still in effect. I wasn't even aware of it at the time.
"Ouch... my foot" [Diana]
It is bleeding. From the arrow. Sigh... How stressful. I should stop the bleeding before it gets worse.
"Can I take this?" [Diana]
"Sure. Take as much as you need."
"A lonely child should be cared for."
"Thank you all. I really appreciate it" [Diana].
Even though I am in an unfamiliar place, somehow I don't feel afraid. I am stressed, but not afraid. The forest here is really nice to me, so I feel relaxed.
I pick up some plants that have medicinal properties and rub them on my wound before pulling out some bandages from my Item Box Magic. I'm glad I always have something useful in there. Maybe I should even take some frozen fried rice and eat it while I still can.
The land of the elves. I think they're not so good with outsiders they don't recognize. That's what the book says, but from what I've heard from Mr. Elegast and other elves, it's not always the case.
Right now, they're divided into an upper class and a lower class. It's almost the same as the nobility system, with the only difference being that those from the upper class are someone who can use the power of the World Tree in times of great danger. The process of selection is random. Every year, an elven child is given a leaf from the World Tree, and from there the priest and priestess observe the child's reaction to the leaf. If they find that the child is able to interact with it, then they're the upper class, and if not, then they're the lower class.
And then there's someone like Miss Farhah. In Mr. Elegast's words, she's like Saintess Rumia. She's the only one that the World Tree allows to go in and out of its realm. The leaves that were used for the Elven Child Ceremony were gathered by her and only her. Before that, there's another saint who does her work, and that saint is now resting in the dungeon, trying to become a World Tree. Yup, she's the successor of The now Hanging Treant
"I feel sleepy..." [Diana]
"Let's make a bed for you"
"My leaf is very soft. It also works as an insect repellent"
"Hey you bees, don't sting her."
"Other insects too!"
"She is someone blessed by fairies!"
"Can you wake me up if someone dangerous approaches me?" [Diana]
"Sure"
"Sleep well"
"I will" [Diana].
I took the leaf and made myself comfortable. It is really comfortable and without any hesitation, I quickly fell asleep.
I don't know how long I slept, but my blessing warned me in my dream. A strange dream, if I say so myself. Not only that, the trees and animals around me kept telling me to wake up, which I did. When I wake up, the first thing I see is a bunch of suspicious people. The blessings tell me that I am in danger, in a non-urgent way. It's only evening, and someone is already trying to disturb my sleep.
"A child? What is a lone child doing here?"
"Maybe she's a runaway slave?"
"But her clothes are good for a slave"
"I am trying to sleep... I thought this was the land of elves, what are humans like you doing here?" [Diana]
"That's none of your business, future slave"
"You know, my blessing tells me you're dangerous, but, not that much. It even belittles you... Earth Magic: Trap Hole!" [Diana]
I just make a big, deep hole underneath them. They fall, and I swear I can hear a crack or two in their bones. That must hurt. I want to say I am sorry, but the moment I hear them cursing me, I add cold water to the hole to punish them.
"How about you add some water scorpion to sting them, child blessed by fairies" [?]
"Miss Farhah is here!"
"She is here! She is here!"
"Miss Farhah? When did you get here?" [Diana]
"I was outside, the Goddess through the World Tree told me of your arrival, and the forest simply led me to you afterwards, child blessed by fairies. You are Diana, aren't you?" [Farhah]
"The only one, Mr. Elegast's mother!" [Diana]
"Oh my, you know about my son" [Farhah]
