It's the day after the weird snake thing fell from the sky. There are about 20 of them, all with human-like faces, and they've been cut cleanly. Strangely, they're almost alive, trying their best to regenerate, but failing. There are traces of THE THING on them, but it's very minimal, so much so that I suspect they're not actually 20 separate snakes, but rather one snake that came from a single large one. Upon hearing this, the only description Nar and Sas can come up with is
"A false hydra? Never heard of it. Maybe I should use it in my next performance" [Vita].
"It's not exactly a hydra, but it's not exactly a snake, so Sas suggested the term false hydra" [Diana].
Strangely enough, it doesn't cause as much of an uproar as we expected. Even those who witnessed the terrifying event seem to forget about it far too quickly. I'm not sure why, but there are traces of mirage mana around the False Hydra, so that's a likely factor. Still, the word-of-mouth is still there, albeit minimally. Even if there are splashes of blood from yesterday, people quickly forget about it.
The False Hydra probably doesn't belong here. The only plausible explanation is that there is a violent storm on Emas, probably the same storm that lifted this strange creature into the air during the incident the other day, and when the storm dies down, the False Hydra falls into Amleth. Unsatisfactory explanation, but it's the only plausible explanation given by all departments involved in yesterday's investigation.
"Oh, beautiful lady, your efforts have been recognized by the goddess. Please take this and may it lead you to your true happiness" [Neloufa].
"Are you a fairy? Thank you, Miss Fairy, for your kind gesture" [Vita].
This is one of the early climaxes of our story. The protagonist receives a blessing from a goddess through the fairy. The protagonist, who is Miss Vita, will soon defeat the evil king to save her kingdom from the devil king. This is one of the most popular bedtime stories in Emas, told by countless generations. Miss Vita and the scriptwriters think that performing a children's bedtime story will appeal to both adults and children. People of Emas are familiar with this story and when they see a story that they have heard being played on a theater, it will make them more engaged in the play.
"With this crown and sword, I swear to the Goddess that I will save us all!" [Vita]
(Thunderstorm! Activate!) [Diana]
Currently, Miss Vita is fighting an army led by the corrupt king, who has sworn to make the devil king the ruler of the entire realm. At first, it's just a sword, but since I'm someone from the village of Aru and I explained to them that there are fairy heritage, they include the crown as well.
I'm not sure if this story is based on the truth or not, but according to the scriptwriters who did his research, the hero's tomb was never found in Emas. Some suggested that the hero's tomb is probably somewhere in the Empire, as there are tales of a hero from a distant land in the Empire who brings justice to the people there. Some suggested that it's the same hero, and that he's probably the ancestor of the village of Aru, so I suggest adding the crown.
(If that's the truth, could it be that all the stories about heroes who defeated armies of evil back then are my ancestors? If so, that hero is really a powerful person. Traversing all the land just to bring justice, and yet those from Aru Village are nothing but disgusting now) [Diana]
"You have done it hero. What will you do now?" [Neloufa]
"There are still countless people needing my help, oh fairies, will you so kindly assist me on my journey" [Vita]
This is the end. Now the rehearsal between Miss Vita and Neloufa is getting smoother and smoother. When we are all satisfied, we will do a full rehearsal. For this scene, together with the probe, a battlefield with flowers around it, as I cast my spell.
"We did it, Aru. We defeated the Devil King" [Titania].
"Knowing her, she'll probably say there's still a long way to go. There are countless people who need our help" [Merlin].
"The goddess' favorite child will say that" [Aru].
"We will both probably say that" [Maria].
What is this? Is that Master Merlin and the fairy queen Titania? Who are the other two ladies? This scene. Is this a memory? What's happening?
"My goodness! What a wonderful spell you cast on us!" [Vita]
"It's absolutely breathtaking!" [Neloufa]
"What inspiration are you using?"
"Huh... Huh? Well... Isn't that... Almost like the fairy spring!" [Diana]
Almost, because there are differences. I don't remember that big flower. I don't remember that big rafflesia. I don't even know this huge tree that seems endless. Is it the famous World Tree?
Not only that, there's a big battlefield on the horizon in my spell, and I don't know the exact details, but it seems terrifying. There are fields of flowers, beautiful and yet eerie. I also cast a mirage mana that affects all spells. Everyone commented on how nice the flower smells, and they can smell a faint trace of blood along with it. Neloufa's fairy costume seems even closer to the one worn by the fairy queen Titania. Miss Vita's battle dress is almost as tattered as the one called Aru's.
"We'll definitely use this!"
"Definitely. This is just, no, even better than what I imagined!" [Vita]
"You really are a genius!" [Neloufa]
"Su... Sure" [Diana]
(I should probably tell Master Merlin about this) [Diana]
