I am exhausted. I can barely stand on my own two feet. As frustrated as I've been since Nar, Sas and Jean helped me defeat the guy from Aru Village, I'm sure things would have been worse if they hadn't intervened. Once again, I am reminded that being able to use magic and being able to use magic properly are two different things. I'm not sure of my chances of winning one-on-one, but the more I think about it, the less likely it is. Even if I were to win alone, my limbs might be torn apart.
The storm is still raging. The bad guys are all caught and the others are safe and sound. No, I must correct myself, we are still in danger because the monster is still rampaging around.
Putting me with others, Nar, Sas and Jean went ahead and joined the fight to subdue the ever raging behemoth. I don't know how strong a Behemoth is, but I'm sure it's not something to be taken lightly. Some behemoths can even go toe to toe with a powerful dragon. It's not classified as a monster of disaster for nothing.
Villagers run at sight when they know a behemoth is coming. Knights on alert. Countries in crisis. Churches praying day and night. All with a single sentence: Behemoth sighted. That's how terrifying this monster is.
I wanted to help. I really do. But what can I do? I tried to ask a bee to go into the ear to make it dizzy. Understandably, the bees rejected my idea for fear of their own lives. I tell the tree to distract it with some poisonous branches or leaves, but it had no effect. I ask them to make the forest into a landslide, but they can't. Even if they could, the others might get caught in it.
While I'm thinking, Randy, who has been using his Taunt skill since he fought the Behemoth, finally activates his Berserk skill when Nar and Sas join the fight. Nar also uses his aura and maximizes all of his magic to increase his physical strength. His sword now glows brightly, like a hero's sword given by the god in the old tales. Sas, just like Nar, did the same, but instead of physical enhancement, he did it for magical enhancement. His mana grows rapidly in size and quality. Instead of the blinding light of Nar, it's cold, dark mana that surrounds him. It's not dark magic or any forbidden magic, that's how powerful his mana is. Able to form his own miasma
The Behemoth, always on the rampage, now has to be wary of Nar, Sas, and Randy. I can imagine it, but when those three are around, it feels like the Behemoth is extra careful around Nar and his powerful slash. Each of Nar's swings is heavy, and the impact can be felt from a distance. He may not be able to cut the behemoth yet, but the behemoth lets out a roar of pain. Sas, on the other hand, unleashes all of his mana. Sas can naturally use fire, wind, and earth, and once he unleashes his miasma, every spell he casts becomes a higher variant. A simple fire arrow becomes a flaming spear. A simple wind slash becomes a howling scythe. A simple earth needle became the arms of Gaia.
"By my command. Become one with me. Let our blazing hearts and souls unite to defeat the calamity before us. Heroic war cry! Howl and bless us all!" [Nar]
"Amazing... They're not called heroes for nothing" [Diana].
Just like how I am helping them earlier by water armour, Nar did the same. No, It's even more powerful. Their minor wound healed. Their strength multiply. Their heart set ablaze!
They're winning this! Slowly and surely, the Behemoth is showing signs of fatigue! The struggling Hanging Treant is now able to hold the Behemoth in place! Of course, the Behemoth is still putting up a lot of resistance, so maybe I can...
"Diana! Where are you going?" [Savel]
Once again I fly and land on one of the Hanging Treant's branches.
"Mr. Hanging Treant, shall I put the Behemoth to sleep?" [Diana].
(The Behemoth would not be that affected... I'm sure if it's more injured, it's possible, but not right now.) [Hanging Treant]
"Shall I strengthen your branches then?" [Diana]
(That will be greatly appreciated) [Hanging Treant]
Focus. Last time it was the fairy queen Titania. This time, a fairy who rules the flora and fauna. Tap into her blessing. Hanging Treant is a magical tree, and as such, anything that can strengthen trees should be good. The old tree, its branches grow longer and stronger. It becomes more stable. The trunk that has a hole in it now becomes like a prime tree. The brown leaves that are waiting to wither will be replaced by youthful, mana-rich leaves. While I am at it, feed the leaves with my mana. Any mana will do. Do it like my elemental cat Fie. Yes. That's right. By order of the Flora and Fauna Fairy
"Even my power from the old days..." [Hanging Treant]
"The Hanging Treant spoke?"
"Seriously?"
"Thank you, young lady. Sir Nar. Sis Sas. Sir Randy. I will hold it right now. Use your most powerful attack to defeat this disaster!" [Hanging Treant]
"Got it!" "Yes!" "Understood!" [Nar, Sas, Randy]
The Hanging Treant uses his holy power. He's a saint to the elves, and as such, his holy and nature mana is second nature to him. The chain of heaven comes down from the sky, a spell he cast. He uses his own root to further bind the monster. The leaves, imbued with my mana, are further strengthened by his holy mana, further damaging the behemoth.
The Behemoth, sensing his death, made a last stand, but to no avail. Nar with his heroic slash, Sas with his nature collusion spell, and Randy with his berserk state simultaneously cut the behemoth down.
"We... We won!"
"Unbelievable! Our unprepared team is able to defeat a behemoth itself!"
"Looking closer... This isn't an ordinary Behemoth! It's a higher variant! It might even be an SS-class monster!" [Kat]
"Seriously!"
"That's even more amazing!"
"Nar and Sas, they are definitely heroes!"
"Even Randy, don't forget how he's been taunting the monster since he entered the battle!"
"The Hanging Treant, we must thank him as well!"
"Even the young lady! Thank you, Young Lady Diana!"
"You're welcome..." [Diana]
My eyes suddenly went black. The last thing I heard was the word Diana coming from Nar and Sas.
