Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 Settling In For A Bit

After walking for seven hours I finally found a river and started creating a shelter on a hill by the river. I start by using magic to create a granite foundation about 20 feet wide and 10 across and 4 feet thick. I made some granite stairs with granite railings, leading up to the foundation's top. After I was on top I made 10-foot high 4-foot thick granite walls lining the outside of the foundation and using magic fused them together with the foundation and other walls. Using granite I made 1-foot thick inner walls and fused them with the foundation and the outer walls. This created an open-concept living dining and kitchen room. I also had one master bedroom and one guest bedroom.

Walking back outside I looked at my roofless, bathroomless house. I then made a roof of smooth 2-foot thick granite with one slant and three short vertical walls, also a hole for the chimney. After fusing them all to the house on all sides I went back in and created three support pillars in each room about 1 foot by 1 foot thick. I made titanium, steel alloy 7-inch thick doors, each one with a peephole filled with crystal clear diamond. I made the inner doors with five 1-inch slits at the top for ventilation.

When I was using my psychokinesis to line up the doors I realized that I had no door frame or door hinges on my doorways. So I made those with titanium steel alloy and set up my doors. I carved a window in the wall in the living room leading to the front with a quick enchantment and heard a thud as the 4-foot-thick granite hit the ground outside. I had to push it out because it just sat there after I cut it. Not worrying about ventilation like I probably should, I just fill up with a window with clear diamond instead of glass. If it fills up with smoke too much I can just open the doors or use magic. I created three more windows one looking out back from the living room another in my master bedroom and the final in the guest room.

Opening the door back door I realize I forgot to put steps there, I quickly solve this issue and went out back behind the hill away from the river. Once I was downhill, I used another quick enchantment to make a deep hole in the ground and alter the soil to sedimentary rock. It was about 20 feet deep. I made support beams a square foot thick each and built an outhouse of granite on top then connect it to my house's living room with a hallway and carve out a doorway with quick enchanting. I use psychokinesis to throw out the big slab of granite. After setting up two more doors one for the outhouse and one for the hallway I carve out some windows in the hallway and fill them up.

Next, I go outside and dig a well on top of the hill 10 feet from my house with quick enchantment before eyeballing the radius of the hole and making a snug granite tube to fit in the hole. Then I set up a roofed well structure of granite on top. For rope, I used a steel cord for rope and stainless steel for a bucket. It took a bit to set up the winch before I built a foundation and room around the well with one full window. I then made a hallway to the kitchen, a doorway, and set up two more doors.

Finally done with the house I realize I had no furniture and no pot for the fireplace, along with no oven or stove. I make a simple iron rod in the fireplace and a stainless steel pot with a hook on the handle to hang it from the rod over the fire. I make a pit in the fireplace about 1 foot deep that way the logs don't roll out or whatever. I make a stainless steel fire poker, a fireplace shovel for the ashes, and a stainless steel ladle. I don't know what to use for oven mitts I can't magic up organic matter after all. Hence, I made a long iron handle with an iron hook on the end to lift the pot by the handle.

After that, I make an iron wood stove and an iron wood oven in the kitchen. I also made a few granite countertops with aluminum cupboards below and along one of the kitchen walls. It was then I realized I had no ventilation for the wood stove or wood oven. Fuck. I made some iron tubes with iron roofs on top over a hole with an iron grate on it. They lead out of the house through two different holes in the roof. I then sealed and fused the edges of the hole so there were no leaks. With that issue fixed I made a granite table and some stainless steel chairs with butt imprint contours on the seats, to help with the discomfort of sitting on metal. Great I need a couch and a bed....

After I made a stainless steel couch frame and stainless steel bed frame, with no cushions because I would need leather or fur for those and I had neither. In my bedroom, I also made a desk and chair, with a bookcase, all stainless steel.

I went outside with Loki still following behind me and gave him permission to go find food. I went down to the river and used my psychokinesis to catch some fish. Such a cheat. Nice.

I brought the fish in and created a stainless steel fillet knife, before gutting them. I descaled them and then filleted them. I have no oil or lard so instead of frying the fish without breading, cause none of that either, I fetched water from the well boiled it, and then added the fish. If a had oil, vegetables, and potatoes I could've made a proper soup. Instead, I had to make do with boiled fish water and boiled fish. No salt no herbs nothing... Oh shit, I can make salt. I made some good old sodium chloride and sprinkled it into the boiling fish. Maybe I'm not so helpless after all.

Then Loki came in with a rat in his mouth.

Archaeus, "Great you might as well be a cat now."

Loki, "Cat?"
