Josiah sat at his coffee table as the events of last night played on his mind. He then realized that he let a complete stranger into his house without even knowing her name.
"Goodmorning Josiah," Rosa said as she entered the kitchen with shopping bags.
"Morning" he answered typing on his computer as he took sips of his coffee.
He replied to emails and also looked over his schedule which Margo sent to him.
He stopped once he heard footsteps coming down the staircase. He took a glance and his blue eyes met with dark brown eyes.
She looked beautiful and there was no denying that.
Once she made it to the bottom of the stairs she stopped deciding whether or not to join him. She watched as his eyes followed her every move before she made her way towards him.
"Goodmorning-" she continued then it hit her that she did not know the name of her savior.
"Josiah" Josiah finished for her.
"Good morning Josiah. My name is Naomi Campbell and I want to thank you again for everything that you have done" she said still standing in front of him.
There are not many people like him who would have done the same for her. She has endured all the nasty looks and everything that is humiliating. This is one act of kindness that she will never forget.
"Your welcome, Naomi," he said her name giving it a try. The words fell from his mouth causing a slight shiver down her body.
She nodded and awkwardly fidgeted in front of him not knowing what her next moves should be.
"You can have a seat. Rosa will fix your breakfast and you also need to take your medicines and vitamins" Josiah says.
Naomi took a seat next to him and watched as he flawlessly typed on the computer. His hands moved freely as if it had a mind of its own.
Before she knew it she was checking out the man who saved her. He was handsome with striking blue eyes and his hair was a mix between dark brown and light brown.
She watched as his tongue slid across his lips before he started rolling up his sleeves.
"You know it's rude to stare," he said causing her to freeze. A laugh escaped his lips as he looked at her mouth which was slightly ajar.
Josiah did not know what it was about her or its the fact that she was a stranger, but he found himself laughing and smiling more times with her than family.
Rosa entered the room placing a plate in front of both Josiah and Naomi. The plate had a lot of food some that Naomi had not eaten since her orphanage days.
"Thank you," Naomi said before silently saying her blessing.
Josiah watched her bow her head and softly prayed. He waited after she was finished before starting to eat. All that could be heard was the utensil hitting the plate.
Naomi finished half her food and drank some of the orange juice before she was full. Her body had become so accustomed to eating small amounts of food, if she ever tried eating more she would become sick.
She stared at the pills and the vitamin that was sitting next to a glass of water. She added some water to her mouth before swallowing both pills. She then went ahead and chewed the vitamin gummy.
After they both finish Rosa came and collected the dishes and left them in complete silence.
"I am very grateful for everything, but it's time for me to go now," Naomi said about to stand up.
"Where will you go?" Josiah found himself asking. "Dr.Richards also suggested two weeks rest so your system won't shut down again," Josiah said trying to convince her for some reason.
One thing he won't admit was that it was nice having someone eat with him apart from Rosa and Andy.
"I will figure something out" she lied knowing that she will only end up back on the bench.
"What about you stay here until you figure something out?" Josiah ask.
Naomi was not used to this type of treatment so it shocked her when he asked.
"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother" she asks and he quickly nodded.
"It is no problem at all," he says this time initiating the first smile.
"Is there any way I could repay you back. Anything that I could do in my time here to thank you for the hospitality?" she asks and a thought came to his mind.
"Do you have any qualifications?" he asked her and she thought about it for a minute.
"Um, I am a fast learner," she said with a cheesy smile. "If that counts" she also added.
He thought about it for a minute because he really needed an assistant. Margo can also teach her the ropes before she leaves.
"Okay, your training will start tomorrow to become my assistant. But first, we need to get you the right attire" he says and she nodded happily.
"I will have my personal stylist come over and do your measurements and prepare you for what is to come. I will also need etiquette coach to also prepare you for the social activities" Josiah says while making a call on his phone.
"Ms. Campbell, please come with me," Rosa says signaling for Naomi to follow her.
Josiah watched as she made her way out the coffee room and her hips moved matched her every step. Her shoes were some white sneakers that he asks Andy to get along with her medicine.
Rosa and Naomi made their way into the waiting car outside.
"Where are we going?" she asked Rosa who just finished speaking to the driver.
"We are going on a girls day out. Josiah suggested I take you shopping and also a spa day" she said.
"Oh," I replied.
"So how old are you Naomi?" Rosa asks after the car became silent.
"Twenty- two" Naomi answered.
"Oh, Josiah is twenty-five," Rosa said with a little smirk displayed on her face.
Naomi on the other hand was clueless as to why Rosa was telling her this.
"He is single" Rosa added and this time a small laugh escaped Naomi's mouth.
'So am I' Naomi thought
