Naturally the boss monster had bloodline power but the bloodline wasn't strong and because of these it did not make that much power difference. But as you know that Allen wasn't using the bloodline power and because of this it kept getting harder for him.
On the other hand most likely the bloodline power of that monster gives him regeneration ability and because of this he also begins to heal those injuries that he received from Allen and those spiritual tigers.
