"No." Lena's defiant eyes glared at me as she stood in front of the door with her arms crossed on her chest. "It hailed the day before yesterday, Luca. It's too dangerous to go out right now."
It was well into the middle of winter, roughly sometime in the first month of the new year, if my assumptions were correct. The snow had been relentless, and two days ago was the worst.
Huge pellets of frozen rain had battered the tiny cabin, tormenting us for a few hours before it stopped. It made Lena very scared. I was worried whether the cabin would withstand it too. Fortunately, the damage was very minimal, and yesterday I was able to fix the small cracks in the roof caused by the hail.
