We both gathered our things and started heading back to our art room. We giggled and laughed as we walked. We went in and the teacher saw us.
"Well, it's great to see you both again!"
"It's awesome to see you too!"
"All you both need to know for this class is that it's mostly the same except for one thing. You will be able to create your creatures! Out of either clay, paper mache, digital or any other means."
"Awesome!"
We both were excited about that. I've always wanted to design my own. Even though I'm terrible at drawing.
" Well, I'll let you both get seated and I'll explain the rest to the other students. Since I already explained it to you, I'll let you do what you need."
"Thank you, Ma'am."
We both went to sit down and started drawing and writing about the brand-new character. We laughed and joked about how our other characters would interact.
"I wonder if Delilah should find them?"
"In the forest?"
"Yea, like, they know the forest far better then the previous characters?"
"You're a genius Melody!"
"I try."
"It's also a great idea since they are a forest elf breed!"
I giggled.
"Another question."
"What's up?"
"Should he have a bow fused with magic?"
"Good question. Let's discuss that outside of school."
"Good call."
We continued chatting and joking. Talking about the characters and what they would say and do. Then, I saw Lu digging through his backpack. He placed it on the table and opened his giant pack of gel pens.
"Should I use gel pens for his clothes, his hair, eyes, skin or just for labeling?"
"Maybe you should use that pastel blue with the small wisps of hair. Like some highlights?"
"Ooo I like that. And when we discuss the bow, I can use the glitter pens for magic."
"Awesome!"
He pulled out the light blue and started making small wisps of hair sticking out of the braid.
"Hey Melody? I got an idea."
"What is it?"
"Should his hair be white and fade to this light blue? Like your hair?"
"Sure, I think that'll be awesome!"
We both laughed and smiled. Lu's ideas were always great. He has the most creative mind I've ever seen.
Some of his hair fell in front of his face, so I gently swiped it away. I saw him smile.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome Lu."
He squealed. Far to adorable. I chuckled and went back to writing. That's whenI felt him nudge me.
"Yes?"
"Hungry?"
"I'm peckish, yes."
I saw him smirk. Since his bag was already on the desk, he shifted it toward me and I looked in. There was a bag of pretzels (ball, stick, pretzel shape), , some M&M's, roasted peanuts, cashews, string cheese, crackers, and even some sodas.
"Wow."
"I'm always prepared. Anything in particular you want?"
"Pretzels please?"
"Matter on the shape?"
"Stick please?"
He pulled the bag of pretzels closer to me and opened them. I snuck a few.
"Just a few?"
"Lunch is next. And our fifth and sixth classes are open."
"True."
We kept working when all of a sudden, I felt eyes watching my every movement.
"Lucas."
He stopped laughing and shifted his eyes towards me.
"Someone is watching me and I'm very uncomfortable."
"Want me to scope out?"
"Please?"
"You got it."
I kept my head low as Lucas quickly spun around to look for whoever was staring at me.
"Melody? I see no one staring at you."
"You sure?"
"Yea, I looked at everyone here and everyone else is just busy talking."
"Okay. Thanks."
"No problem."
I went back to writing. Sneaking more pretzels.
"Knew you wanted more."
I chuckled and playfully smiled. I crossed my legs, making my hooves make a small click. They were pretty heavy since they were made of resin. I saw the teacher's head lift up but then go back down. I sighed and peeked at Lu's drawing. The skin was pale like the moon since the forest was very dark with only some soft glowing mushrooms and some crystals. I smiled while watching him color their eyes. A beautiful and sparkly forest green. I smiled but then it faded. He must've noticed.
"What's wrong?"
"Someone is staring again."
Lu hummed. Then he suddenly turned around. When he turned back he gently nudged me.
"They're looking at your hair."
"Who?"
"I'm not one hundred percent sure. They're part of the dance team."
I sighed in relief. The dance team was normally extremely nice to other students and constantly fought with the cheer team. Especially during pep rallies for the football team.
"Maybe he wants to be friends?"
"That could be possible. Normally the dance team is very nice."
"Should I invite him over to the table?"
"Sure."
Lu then turned around and waved him over. I heard a chair be pushed out then in and footsteps walk over. I looked over at the male and saw a darker male with short curly hair and a dance team jacket. What really caught my eyes were some of his tattoos. It was white ink. Four doves with names.
'Lola' 'Sophia' 'Nick' and 'Brandon'
He pulled out the chair next to Lu and sat down.
"Hi, I'm Noah."
"I'm Lucas and that's my bestie Melody."
I waved at the guy. He smiled and waved back.
"So, why were you staring at Melody?"
"I was admiring her hair. How it fades to that beautiful white color. Is it natural?"
"Yes. it's been like that since I was born."
"Cool."
Noah then got up and left us.

Noah then got up and left us. Lu and I were confused. We weren't quite sure why he left. Or even why he asked about my hair. We looked at eachother and just shrugged. Brushing it off and focusing back on our character.
"Where shall we go for our two open periods?"
"Maybe we can get some lunch and chill out?"
"Yea, that sounds great! Do you think our spot is still open?"
"It should be. We did tell the librarian about it."
Lu smiled at me. I smiled back that place has been our safe spot since our freshman year. That's when my phone buzzed. I pulled it out and saw that a youtuber we watched posted another video.
"Maybe we can watch this while eating."
