"Primordial magic: Cleanse"
It's a spell that Eve created in the past to clean up a tragedy that occur which cause Etterra to split into 4 continents. Originally, Etterra is only 1 big continent but the incident left a big scar towards Etterra. Adrian can explain and tell the story but he kept it to himself first as now is not a good time yet. But now he uses it to clean and purify the miasma with the help of Excalibur's special effect.
"Fuhh... Now that is more like it. I can think clearly and breath in the fresh air." Adrian recalls both Excalibur and Worochi no Aramasa, then begins to relax as now the threat is gone.
"You should fix the forest too. The destruction from the poison and miasma is too severe. You would do my forest sisters a favour." Cassie finally voice out after the battle is finish. She was actually focusing on Adrian's battle as she would assist only when needed.
"Sigh… sure. Aria, is my mana enough to fix this and return back?" Adrian actually thinks about that but he's mana reserve and damaged soul condition made him want to go back as soon as possible.
[Responding. Yes, Master had enough mana if Master asked assistance from 'Cassiopeia' and use Excalibur to cast 'Flash of Light' to return back.]
"Sigh… Alright. Here I go. You help me out too Cassie." Adrian sighs and asked Cassie to help him moisten the soil so he can remove the wilted and charred trees to plant new one. He also patches up the crater that 'Lightning blade' cause, burying the Deathbringer serpent with it.
All of the forest replanting took 1 hour. It all made easy by magic. The journey and the battle took almost 3 hours, with the addition of 1 hour he took to clean up, it was about late afternoon but the weather is still cold and the skies are already orange. Its time for Adrian to return with 'Flash of Light'.
Deep in a dark molten cavern under a certain volcano near the South, where fire and smoke are abundant, a large figure is laying down lazily with a huge pipe hanging from its sharp maw.
"Pufff… So, it had been delt with… Such a strong human boy. Makes me think that my eyes are deteriorating. HAHAHAHAHA." The figure laughs, making his pipe to fall down.
"Grow up well, boy. I will find you soon." The carven is still dark but the figure excitement made some sparks that lit up around him.
Bright yellow eyes with a dark slit at the centre can be seen along with some parts of its body. He had dark red scales and folded wings. His sharp claws are reaching to pick up its pipe again and begin smoking to fall asleep, continuing its hibernation.
"Ahhhh… That hits the spot." Adrian took a dip inside the hot spring at the villa after retuning. He felt relaxed. Although he had many worries, its good to take a break for now.
"The year almost end. I already finished Marylyn's 7th birthday present but her present for 9th and 10th, the giant shelter doll and the magic language encyclopaedia, it's not finish yet. There will be Aunt Rosaria and Kyle's wedding in spring. I need to take a look at this Eduardo guy." Adrian revises his upcoming plans.
"The Cross Catch manual are done, I just need someone to help me make copies of it. Then I can publicise the game. I ask a local merchant for that. It will be easier."
"Oh… I forgot that dad give me access to the borders. Limited to only 5 km outside. I should go there after my birthday to train. The time of attending the academy is close, only 1 year left." Adrian made up his plans.
Suddenly, a cheerful voice interrupted his train of thoughts.
"Big brother! Let's have some fun together." Marylyn joins in with only a towel wrapping around her.
"Young miss, don't run off like that." The maid followed suit after chasing after Marylyn.
"Okay. Let's play Mary." Adrian agrees to enjoy the short vacation for a moment.
The Cross Family enjoyed their 3 days stay at the hot spring villa but now its time to depart back home. The Shields send them off with a smile hoping they came back one day. Malcom agrees but he did not make any promises. Adrian also says good bye to Kyle and Scott, promising to see them again next year to attend Kyle's wedding.
The carriage set off to the Cross county. The journey was peaceful as it was already late winter, everything is finishing up to end the year.
This includes the Twilight royal family who is expecting a new child.
Inside the majestic palace at the centre of Amber Rose Capital, a sound of a crying baby was heard through the halls.
"It's a baby girl." King Elijah saw the baby with a tear of happiness drops from his cheeks as a nun from the Dawn kingdom was helping in delivering the baby.
"Congratulations, Your Majesty. The second queen have given birth to a baby girl successfully." The nun announced the smooth operation. The queen who is also there felt relief that the process is successful.
The nun hand over the baby to the mother, the second wife of the king, Marie. Elijah and Charlotte came closer to Marie to also see the baby.
"What would you name her Marie?" Charlotte is the first to voice out. Leaving Elijah baffled.
"What are your thoughts Your Majesty? You should name her…" Marie gave the king some consideration as it is also his daughter.
Charlotte stares at Elijah give him a look of "don't mess it up like the first time". There is a secret story that King Elijah gave names to the twins when they give birth but the names are rejected by Queen Charlotte as it was too bias.
"Ahem… I thought of 'Ellie'. Is that good?" Elijah sounded his suggestion while giving a calm look. Marie and Charlotte widen their eyes in shock.
"That is a perfect name. 'Ellie Twilight Wells'. 'Ellie' rhymes with 'Marie'. Thank you so much, Eli." Marie gave off a huge smile. She pulls the kings rough and rugged hands, and give it a kiss as a sign of affection. She is too tired to get up just after going into labour. The king doesn't mind it and just give a smile.
"You did have it in you. Why did you give stupid suggestions when naming the twins?" Charlotte glares daggers at Elijah.
"Hey! I learn from mistakes okay." The king and queen started their normal bicker.
"Fufufu… Shouldn't you two call the twins inside so they can have a look at their new little sister." Marie voiced out suddenly grabbing the two's attention after bickering for a minute.
Marie is actually enjoying the moment. She knows the two love each other very much. Their proposal is also built on a challenge so the bickering only lasted for a while and just a normal interaction between the two.
"Ah yes… can you call the twins inside?" Charlotte snaps out of it and ask a maid who had assisted the nun in delivering the baby to call out form the twins.
The maid replies with a nod and bring Charles and Chelsea in. Chelsea enters the room with a rush and a big smile on her face. Charles came in with a calm manner while holding a book.
"Where? Where is my little sibling? I want to see." Chelsea jumps up and down in excitement.
"She is right here. Meet your new little sister, Ellie." Marie shows off the baby to Chelsea.
"Yay, a little sister." Chelsea is more excited after know she had a little sister.
Charles puts on a serious face after hearing he had a new little sister. It reminds him of his close friend who also had a little sister but his friend is much better than him. His own twin sister is better than him.
"I need to step up my efforts. I heard from Bryce, that I will be announce as the crown prince when I reach adulthood. Gods, please help me." Charles begins to feel the pressure after thinking back.
"Charles? What's wrong? Are you not happy to see your new little sister?" Marie looks at Charles while she sensed some worry in his expression.
"No. It's not that mother Marie. Have you heard of my friend, Adrian Cross? He also had a little sister but he is much better than me in many aspects. I just feel a little burden by it. That is all." Charles confesses his emotions but he did not tell them about the news that Bryce told as that should be a secret between them.
"Fufufu… Yes. I have heard of your friend, Adrian Cross. They say his intelligence surpasses anyone. Maybe he can take my place and become a queen?" Marie started joking sarcastically. Everyone in the room looked at her with a weird look.
"I also heard that he beat His Majesty in a game, maybe he can become king." Marie adds more. Elijah wants to say something but holds back.
"But he did not become a queen or king with those achievements. Fate seems to choose him to be a genius, where you are fated to be a prince, Charles."
"The commandments of the old says that beings of Etterra only flourish with their own efforts. You are still young prince Charles, there is still more you have yet to discover. So, keep your head up high, Ellie's big brother." Marie gives a big smile at the end of her lesson to Charles.
The room went silent for a while. Charles dropped the book and clench his fist. He had come to a realization. He tries to follow the path of a genius like his close friend and father. He failed. Now he realizes he is a 'prince' he needs to carve his own path. A path that he already set on. He closes his eyes.
Suddenly, light appears inside the room in front of Charles. The light starts to took shape and Charles reopen his eyes.
"Equipped."
