Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Hunt Begins

It is already morning as the sun had fully shown itself to revel a new day. Ralph had freshened up from training and help the maid in preparing breakfast.

They serve breakfast to Malcom, Amanda and the sleepy Marylyn who is woken up by her parents already took a seat at the dining table.

"It seems like Adrian still had not woken up. Can you please wake him up for breakfast Ralph?" Amanda notices her son's absence.

"Tell him, he can to take a bath at the hot spring later on. You can join him too Mary." Malcom adds.

"Okay!" Marylyn immediately energized after hearing something involving her beloved brother.

"Yes master, madam. I will go wake him up right now." Ralph bows and went up to the 2nd floor to the end of the corridor next to his room.

*Knock knock knock*

"Young master, its morning. It's time for breakfast." Ralph said through the door but he got no response for 1 minute.

*Knock knock knock*

"Young master, are you there?" Ralph knocks again as he did not sense any presence or sound inside the room. The door is also locked.

He puts his hands on the floor. He feels the air inside the room is chilly through the gap under the door.

"YOUNG MASTER! I'M COMING IN!" Ralph is ready to burst open the door.

*BAM*

"Urgh…." Adrian grunts as the door that Ralph kicked, hits his face and he falls down on the floor.

"Young master! I'm so sorry." Ralph immediately gets on the floor prostrating himself while apologizing repeatedly.

"Ah… so loud in the morning. Quiet down Ralph!" Adrian said with an annoyed tone while telling Ralph to shut up. His forehead had a bump cause by the door.

"I'm so sorry young master." Ralph calms himself and still kneeling on the floor.

"Bring my food to my room. The usual portion. I plan on lazing on bed today. It's a vacation after all. Tell mom and dad of my plans. I will stay in my room just for today. As for food, just knock on the door and left it outside. I will put my tray outside when I'm finish. Oh… and tell Mary I will play with her tonight." Adrian tells Ralph his plans for today.

"Ye… Yes, young master. I will tell them your plans. I will bring your breakfast after this. Excuse me." Ralph nods while still kneeling. Then he stands up, bows and left.

After seeing the departing Ralph, he smiles as if his it is all according to plan.

"You had a bump on your head. Fix that." Cassie points at the obvious bump protruding from Adrian forehead.

After eating breakfast in bed and left the tray outside the door, Adrian pack up some of his things to sneak out and go to the public hot spring that Count Shields showed yesterday. He needed to regain his strength to confront the demonic beast. All he bring, is 2 gold and a cloak. He needs to be back before lunch to avoid suspicions of untouched lunch in front of his room.

His family would not go to the local public hot spring today as there are already one at the villa, so the plan is perfect.

Wearing casual noble clothes covered in a hooded cloak, Adrian stealthily jumped out the window of the 2nd floor of the villa and uses Wind magic to soften his land. Off he goes rushing to the hot spring in the morning of his vacation.

The thick steam covers the pool in a personal hot spring. A boy who is soaking inside the hot spring holding a sword with both of his hands and a book that is floating next to him with its chains wrapping around his left arm while closing his eyes. He is focusing in gathering and circulating mana to regain his strength.

It had been 5 hours that he had been soaking until he opened his eyes. He paid an expensive price of 2 gold to not let anyone disturb his time. At first, the owner wants to reject him as he is not wearing noble clothes and had a cloak covering his face. After Adrian shows him 2 gold, he immediately agrees as he thought the young boy is a noble that just running around in secret and want to have a bath.

"Status."

[Name: Park Jae Sung] [Age: 10] [Level: Full Moon Stage]

[STR: 410] [AGI: 412] [END: 430] [INT: 600] [Mana: 5005]

[Affinity: 10 Elements]

"Hmm… This should be enough for now. The Mana Heart and Eve's Mana method is working wonderfully. If I don't have my soul damaged, I would have push a little bit more. As one is closer to the Sun stage, they would feel their soul feeling more nourished but right now all I feel is pain." Adrian gets out of the hot spring, drying himself with magic and wearing his clothes back while thinking about his condition.

"Tch… It is already monstrous to leap in levels like that. You are absorbing and circulating mana like you are Etterra itself." Cassie felt a bit pissed off at Adrian's speed of growth.

She had been circulating mana beside him as well and Adrian also channel some to assist her in her growth but she only increases a level.

[Name: Cassiopeia] [Type: Spritual Force]

[Mana: 4800] [Level: Convex Moon Stage]

[Affinity: Water]

"Well, I do have Aria." Adrian replied back to Cassie in his thought while telling the owner his is finish and exits the premise to return for lunch.

"Light Magic: Flash of Light"

A magic circle forms under his feet. As he took a step, he turns into a flash of light heading towards the vacation villa.

"Eh? What was that?" A hawker surprised to see a flash of light passing though in front of his stall.

"Huh?" A kid playing tag with his friends see a beam of light narrowly hitting him. Letting him being tagged while having a dumbfounded expression of what just he had saw.

"Hmm?" A guard patrolling the streets saw the light. He wanted to chase it but it was too fast and thinking that it might be just his imagination playing tricks on him.

Adrian returned back to his room feeling a bit exhausted but excited as he can use his self-created spell now. Flash of Light is a mobility spell that allows him to move in a speed of light but the downside is the burn on the usage of mana is too high.

The distance between the villa and the public hot spring is about 500 meters but it already burn 87% of his mana. He knows it is stupid to burn his mana as he wanted to hunt a demonic beast after this as it is the perfect moment to strike the serpent at daytime but he need to get hang of the control of the spell first.

The Deathbring serpent is a nocturnal creature so it should be sleeping right now. Things also to point out, to exterminate a demonic beast cleanly he needs to use Excalibur. Equipping Excalibur at night time is just a spotlight telling everyone that he is there.

*Knock knock knock*

"Young master, lunch is here. I will place them at the door. Please eat it quickly as it is still warm." Ralph voice sounded outside his room indicating it lunch time and almost time for him to depart.

As Ralph is about to go down stairs he heard a door click and looks at back at the floor in front of Adrian's room that the tray is gone. He nodded and went down to the dining room.

"The young master is still inside his room. It seems like he is lazing around today." Ralph reports back to the Cross couple.

"Sigh… He is a teenager now so it is not strange that he gets the opportunity to be like this. If he says it is just for today, I'm fine with it." Malcom sighs seeing the heir to the family on his puberty stage.

"It is fine. I will have more time to play with my cute little daughter. She had been sticking with her brother all these years. It's my turn now." Amanda who is rubbing her cheeks against Marylyn's cheeks, excited to spend some time with her daughter after so long.

"Hehehe… that tickles, mom." Marylyn is also enjoying the moment for now. She wants to give her big brother some space. She remembers his lonely expression that he shows some time ago. She knows he needs time.

After having lunch, Adrian set off with the same outfit he wore when he went to the public hot spring. This time he runs 3 km towards the concentrated miasma location while still regaining his mana from the use of 'Flash of Light'. This is the last seen location of the demonize Deathbring serpent.

"Let the hunt begin." Adrian announces with a stern tone and a serious face while on the run.
