"Mother! I'm back!"
Looking up from my desk, I turned and grinned as I swiftly stood up, making my way towards the tall, lithe woman who stood in my doorway, her blue and orange eyes sparkling with joy as she looked down at me.
"Li Yue! You've returned!"
Approaching my now grown daughter, I felt joy rush through my body as I spread my arms, welcoming her home properly as we embraced for the first time in an entire year.
"I finished earlier than Mom anticipated, but still... It took such a long..."
Pausing, Li Yue gently pulled back and looked down, past my face and past my chest as she stared intently at my stomach, before her grin returned as she softly asked "Are..?"
Chuckling, I nodded as she crouched down, my eldest staring at my pregnant bump in awe as I said "Yes... Your Mom and I decided that all three of you have grown up enough... She surprised me with it, but... I'm pregnant again."
