I gasped as I felt Gao Chen's palm collide with my cheek, the tanned skinned woman sneering at me as she hissed "Don't you EVER suggest that again, you hear me?! Never!"
Reaching up, I gently held my cheek and stared at her in shock, before anger bubbled up inside my chest as the orange eyed woman continued to sneer at me, unapologetic for what she had done.
"What?! Suggest that Li Yue might benefit from more personalized practice instead of simply being thrown into the wilderness at such a young, tender age?! Are you insane?!"
Gao Chen snarled as she leaned closer, her muscular frame still dwarfing mine as she loomed over me like a tiger, the woman growling "She isn't being thrown into the wilderness, Yi'er! She is being sent off to train and acquire practical experience!"
"Okay?! AND?! She is STILL far too young for that, Gao Chen! Far too young!"
"She's the same age I was when I went on my first mission! If I could do it, so can she!"
