The next few days were spent interestingly, with Gao Chen making decisions to bring Li Yue over towards the courtyard that Li Yu Ming resided in, very clearly trying to patch things up in her own way.
When it happened the first time, I spent the entire 'visit' quietly watching as the two sisters stared awkwardly at one another, Li Yue not knowing what to do while Li Yu Ming was confused about the presence of the two newcomers, her pale blue eyes finding mine often as she continuously alternated her gaze.
The next few times were better for us all, with Li Yue deciding that if her younger sister was going to remain quiet, it'd be a perfect opportunity to read her books aloud and enjoy this down time that her Mom was deciding to give her, while said woman sat silently beside me, too stubborn to make the first move but clearly wanting to have something happen between us.
