"N-No... t-that's impossible..!"
Clutching my head, I tried to focus my mind past the skull splitting headache that appeared, which only worsened with the demented giggles that echoed around the Shimmering Palace.
"Lady Yichen! What's impossible?! What just happened?!"
An knelt in front of me, the Fox staring at me with desperation in her eyes as she searched for an answer to the claw marks on her arm.
Blood weeped from the shallow cut, and I shivered as I saw the droplets of crimson liquid stain the carpet.
Shaking my head, my breathing grew irregular as I sat on the bed, holding my head in my hands.
"No! N-No, no... W-What?! H-How?!"
Tears welled in my eyes, and I shivered again as I felt Li Yue tug at my sleeve, her singular orange eye reminding me of what I had just seen.
Biting my cheek to stifle a gasp, I stared at my baby girl with fear in my eyes, unsure of what I should do.
