Just before the trial, an unknown structure stood tall and proud, a majestic dome supported by thirteen pillars. Out of the thirteen pillars, only eight were brightly lit, while three were dark and one was pitch black. The dome housed eight mighty shadows, their faces hidden, but their eyes were clearly visible. The eyes were so intense that they made anyone who looked into them feel suffocated.
The silence inside the dome was eerie, until one of the shadows, the one with metal-colored eyes, broke it. "Did we really have to call outsiders? We all know the risks,".
"It was worth it, because what we need cannot be found through normal means," said the shadow with misty eyes.
"All of this is because of that bastard. If only he hadn't messed up the whole plan that they formulated over the years," said the shadow with red eyes.
"This summoning cost us a huge price because we didn't have the God of Time and the God of Space with us," said the shadow with white eyes in a tone that showed he didn't care about anything.
"Don't bring that up. We still don't know what happened, but the God of Mascarre suddenly went on a killing spree, killing nearly 50,000 angels. In the end, we had to pay the price to stop him, but it remains a mystery what caused him to do that," said the shadow with seductive eyes.
"This risk must be worth it, otherwise they would be at our throats," said the metal-eyed shadow, with a hint of fear in his voice.
"Check all the transmigraters. Leave no loophole, just like that abnormal talent kid," finally said the shadow with black eyes, asserting his dominance over everyone present.
As soon as these words were spoken, a hologram appeared, showing millions of people. The metal-eyed shadow commanded the hologram to show only people with potential A or above. After that, only ten screens remained, and Andrew was not among them.
"Are all of them the strongest candidates for the position of Sea God?"
"They are still brats, though that pink-haired girl is quite good," said the shadow with seductive eyes.
"They still need to become strong, or else they will not satisfy us," said the other shadows in unison.
Everyone nodded, but what the shadow with green eyes said next immediately drew everyone's attention. "What about the church? They do not welcome outsiders very much,"
"Let them fight," said the shadow with red eyes.
"Alright, everyone. We have spent a large amount of mana and faith power. We all have to rest, so let's dismiss this meeting here," said the shadow with golden eyes, in a worried tone.
An air of affirmation went around the dome, and one by one, all the shadows flew away as if they had never been there. But the shadow with black eyes was still seated, a mischievous smile on its face.
"Ha-ha! The next few months will be quite eventful," said the shadow with black eyes before vanishing, just like the others.
The dome was once again silent, with only the pillars standing tall.
