Kasimir and Koloso was with Dolores.
" I saw you sneeking a peek at someone's house. Why not be friend so they'll invite you?" Koloso summons.
"Don't you two dare."
"Why?"
Kasimir answered his question. " Because we are not going to harm any innocent."
"Stupid. We are not heroes. We are vampires. The should fear us."
" Yeah vampires. Not a monster"
"Well, mark my words I gonna get atleast one of them!"
"Koloso!!!" it was Dolores.
"What will you do? Burn me? Am the eldest and you will all follow my command, once I am throned."
" You won't hurt them. Any of them!" Dolores had her voice louder. "That's an order!!"
Dolores left her two boys. Koloso burst in dismay while Kasimir follow his mother.
" What made you so upset mother? Sounds like you are choosing the humans side than us fangs."
" You'll be 21 next month , you will have all the right to disobey me, your independency is fast approaching, I can't control you anymore."
" That's not the answer I am expecting mother."
"It's obvious, we never gave birth, that family? They are our real family Kasimir."
"Are you serious? How?"
"I have a lively family. A happy home once. I have my Chelsea, one day while going home. A monster attacked me. Dead. Not knowing I was pregnant, with you Kasimir. I woke up in dark, rerise, with you in my belly. Till I gave birth to you."
"Monster?"
"Vampires. Us!! They ruined my life, our supposed to be a happy life!"
Kasimir saw tears dropping from his mothers eyes. Now he understands why never her mother touches any human undeserving.
"But what about Koloso?"
"I don't know, one day Imiro went home with a child, that is Koloso. "
Kasimir keeps quiet for a second. That explains everything. Their differences .
"Kasimir, promise me. Never let anyone hurt our family by blood"
"Even Koloso?"
"We are a vampire by infection , virus, we are humans keep that in mind. Protect them at all cost. You are unique always remember that. You can walk in broad daylight. Find a girl. Have a kid"
"But we can't produce kids."
" You can still, you are not yet a vampire , you must do it before your 21st ."

"You need to feel loved and be loved."

" You still have it. Kasimir you are unique. You can still walk in daylight."
" Mother, daylight's our curse. "
" Not until you tasted a blood. A human blood. You are not yet a vampire. You need to go somewhere far, very far, don't you ever let Koloso, or any fangs turned you totally into a monster"
" But I am indeed a monster."
"Being a monster isn't all about what are you, its about who are you. Koloso isn't your brother. You have Chelsea and Kevin, me, we are your only family. "
Everything's clear now for Kasimir. He never once crave for blood. Yeah he had sip a few but have to spit it out. He is totally different. From all.
It's evening still for them. 3 hours still before sunrise but most of the fangs are now returning from hunt. He haven't saw Koloso yet but most of the fangs are now resting near at their respective coffins. They leave underground, under a cave, all sleep during suntime. Sometimes a group of travelers may have a foot in their hiding cave, and they can never go out again, unless became a fang too. Including Ifraim. A loner, as he have observed, the guy never went out with any group.
"Not feeling hungry?"
Ifraim looked at him. With anger.
"Relax. Am not harmful."
"What do you want?"
"Nothing, just curious."
"About what?"
"Never crave for blood?"
" I'd rather die than became one of you!"
"You are one of us!"

Kasimir feel sorry for him. He knows he is hurting inside. Homesick, just like her mother, Dolores. How much more for him, he is only a fang for weeks.
" You miss your family?"
"How hell you talk about family! You have no feelings!"
"I have an idea. Lets meet at sunrise"
"Wanna burn me. Cool."
"Nope! Let's meet later. I will knock at you four times, if not then don't respond."
Kasimir went to his area. Luckily Koloso haven't returnes yet. He had no time for arguments. He slipped into his coffin next to his mother Dolores.
As usual he can't sleep. Yes. They are bats. Awake at night. Still he closed his eyes and relax, he had to be ready, he had to imagine his plan later.
He heard a bang. Obvious, it is Koloso in a hurry as always. He is as always the one to return lastly. Kasimir waits for a total silence.
He had to prove that he can walk in under sunlight.
He went out of his coffin. Direct to Ifraim. And Ifraim went out.
" I have a plan. I've heard that those who never drunk a human blood yet is still able to walk at sunlight. "
"Don't you tell me you have never!"
"Well yeah. We need to prove it. "
"Why would I believe you?"
"Come on. You miss your family. Me too, you'll go with or not. I will still leave."
Ifraim close his coffin and went back in but Kasimir follows the path going to the cave mouth, he can do it alone. "If I will burn, let it be." he calm himself and starts to crawl up.
Kasimir reached the top, its almost sunrise. He stood facing the sun. Close his eyes. Waiting for the sun's judgement.
The sun rise. He can feel it. He will burn. If that his fate destined let it be.
"So its true?"
He heard a voice. He is still alive. Surely.
He looked back. Its Ifraim hiding into a rock shadow.
"Well yeah! Why hiding? Looked at me. Hope its enough as a proof."
Ifraim start to walk and stood near him. "Its true!"
Ifraim had his tears falling. " I have now the chance see my wife. "
"Your wife?"
"Yeah. She is my only hope. She is pregnant. "
"You can't leave with them, you know, incase the infection attacks you, you may harm them."
" I know. I only need to see them. My Chelsea. "
