I had worked tirelessly, and I had now admired my status. After my evolution and class obtainment.

Though I wish I had a more interesting class, I had accepted the basic warrior class instead of the hunter class. Glad I did because the class Dread knight seemed pretty good. There were some interesting thing in my evolution tree however so I chose to look over those now. I stared at the Dranei species and it made me realize it really was from the game I had thought it was. This was proof that other people had been born into this world and I wasn't alone. Or well i was, but wasn't I would likely never meet another person like me, but the ones that had existed in the past were all dead or just really fucking old. I shook my head and refocused. That evolution made sense, I had technically cannibalized my kin, it was how I had become the my variant. I stared at the head scratcher of the Gru entry. Its requirement was to know about the evolution. I wondered how that worked? From my knowledge a Grendal was a creature that lived in the dark and ate people. Was that why I got the evolution? I would need to ask Merli about hat a Gru was and perhaps a Grendal. I wondered how I met the requirements, I wasn't a Minotaur after all... I looked at the last evolution I had. The last actually gave me interesting information what if i ate other monster cores? Would I unlock other evolution? Eaten cores might be a bad thing to do though... Seemed a little morally wrong. I had never confirmed if it was or not so yet another thing to ask Merli. I think normally it would be absorbed anyway so it would likely be fine. Overall this system worked fairly simple, the only catch it seemed was a logistical limit. Like in my case cows had a set number of evolution until they had to branch off into some new species or type of monster. The only other option was to pioneer a new path or breed of monster. The only catch was to make a new true species one had to also have others evolve into that evolution or breed a branched evolution. As Gnar had informed me one such branch could be seen within the Goblins and Orcs as they could both evolve into he Bugbear and then into the original evolution of Burgbear. Evolutions also were effected by class obviously in the case of a Orc shaman evolving into a Orc Wizard. An Orc wizard was both a evolution and class requiring the class to make the evolution. The Evolution then provided that stats per level for the class skills and spells. Thinking while working really occupied most of my time since I had so much work I had this time to thinking on my options. I had know idea whether or not I could acquire demonic cores so that evolution was out. I didn't want to be a Ovid and hoping over to the Minotaur branch sounded like it could hurt me not to mention its description. The next option was equally displeasing, from my knowledge Wendigos were evil creatures that were constantly starving as punishment. Know doubt would become a power house, but starving would suck. I didn't even consider the Gru since I needed info about it, and so I was left with four options I really had a choice over. The first would be using a past evolution which seemed like an obvious no. The second was the Dranei which I had no idea how it would work since it was an evolution founded by some random guy in the past. Finally the last option was the two opposite evolutions. Which seemed to act much like how Taurens and Minotaurs were opposites. The problem was as much of an advancement as they may seem. It would change my body in a way I couldn't agree with. Four arms or a Quadruped lower half seemed too much as they were basically extra body parts. and would hinder my movement and living. Extra work would have to be done for my accommodation. I sighed, my only real option that I liked was the demon cores.... Unless, I could go with the hardest option. Found and create my own path, becoming a new monster. I huffed as I dropped the weights I had been using. Three options that all required time, knowledge and effort. Learning more about the Gru, finding demons that I could kill, or work on my class and stats through training in order to found a new path. The only if that would change this would be if I achieve a class promotion that unlocks a new evolution. I got up and stretched slightly. I could ask Merli about what I wanted to know while we did Yoga. Merli had taken a liking to it, and since Merli was a type of mage dexterity helped it. I am now exactly a year old ironically, I really grew up fast, being a monster helped though. -----forgot a skill previously, (Monstrous Sense), updated the chapter to match, Adjusted stats for the Greater achievement on chapter mayhem without mayhem.
