Chapter 6 - The Betrayal

Roran and the Guardians had been studying the ancient tome that Elrond had given them, and they had uncovered many new secrets and powerful magic that could be used to protect the kingdom. But despite the valuable information in the book, Roran couldn't shake the feeling that Elrond was hiding something.

One night, as Roran was on patrol, he saw Elrond sneaking into the fortress. Roran followed him, keeping a safe distance so as not to alert him to his presence. Elrond made his way to the council chamber, where the Guardians kept their most valuable artifacts and artifacts. Roran watched from the shadows as Elrond began to search through the items, taking some of them and placing them in his satchel.

Roran couldn't believe it, Elrond was stealing from the Guardians, he had betrayed them. Roran emerged from the shadows, confronting Elrond. "What are you doing? Why are you stealing from us?" Roran demanded.

Elrond turned to face Roran, a look of anger and hatred in his eyes. "You Guardians have always been too blind to see the truth. The kingdom will never be safe while you are in charge. I am taking what is rightfully mine," Elrond said as he summoned a powerful dark magic, and he began to attack Roran.

Roran fought back with all his might, but Elrond's dark magic was powerful and he was struggling to hold his own. Just as Elrond was about to deliver the final blow, the other Guardians arrived, alerted by the commotion. Together, Roran and the Guardians were able to defeat Elrond and put an end to his betrayal.

After the battle, Roran felt a mix of emotions. He was relieved that they had defeated Elrond and had prevented him from stealing any more artifacts, but he also felt a sense of betrayal. He couldn't understand why Elrond had turned on them, and why he had been so willing to betray the kingdom.

Elder Raven, who had been alerted by the commotion, approached Roran, "You were right to be suspicious of Elrond, Roran Stormbringer. He was not who he claimed to be, he was an agent of the ancient evil we thought we had defeated."

The Guardians were shocked, they had thought that the ancient evil had been defeated for good, but now it seems that it had a secret agent among them. They knew that the fight to protect the kingdom was never truly over, and they would have to be more vigilant.
