When Leon was done stabbing Brother Song, John looked at the remaining four of Brother Song's people and saw them shuddered in fear.
Yes fear.
He saw fear in their eyes.
"Please don't kill me"
"Please let me go, I promise to keep my mouth shut"
"Yes, yes. If you let me go. I will never appear in front of you again. I won't tell anyone what happened here today"
"Please don't kill us"
Those people started begging. They desperately wanted to live.
When Leon saw them behaving like that, he just snorted and said viciously "Boss don't believe what they say. The best way is to leave no loose ends and I believe that leaving them alive will be a threat to you boss"
John sneered and said "To you, you say"
Leon smile embarrassingly after being exposed. Of course is best for him to depose of these people because he knew that they would pose a threat to him.
John looked at the people who were begging desperately for their lives to be spared and studied them one by one and suddenly pointed at one man who was in his forties and said "you, what's your name?"
"Ha..Harold sir" Harold shivered and answered fearfully.
John nodded and said "How well do you know the Cold Hard Gang? or rather How popular are you in the Cold Heart Gang?"
"Yes I know everything that is to know concerning the White Heart Gang, from their dealings to Business partners and other things. And if you asked how popular I am in the white Heart Gang then I can say that I'm quite popular and so many people respect me in the Cold Heart gang. I'm the third in command After Brother Song and Leon" Harold quickly explained carefully.
"So I picked the right person" John murmured to himself, he looked at Harold and asked with a smile on his face "So now that I killed your Brother Song do you want to take revenge on me?"
"I don't dare, I don't dare boss. Boss in fact I want to follow you and work for you" Harold quickly shook his head and denied it and added with an embarrass expression.
John smile and questioned him "I just killed your boss but not only do you not want to take revenge but you want to follow me, how am I sure that you won't be plotting behind my back on how to get your revenge"
"I don't dare boss. Even though Brother Song was my Boss, him and I are two separate entities. I want to follow you because I know that there will be a lot of opportunities for me to grow and become bigger and also because I want.... want to live" Harold said the last part in a low voice.
"Ok let's say I believe what you said, if I make you the boss of Cold Heart Gang, are you sure that all the people under the Cold Heart gang will listen and obey to your every instructions and follow you obediently?" John asked Harold after some time.
Harold quickly nodded and said "Yes, yes they will obey and follow my instructions"
John asked him again "So what will you tell them when they asked you who killed Brother Song?"
"I, i" Harold stammered and couldn't come up with a definite answer.
Looking at him like that, John just smiled and said "I can help you with that. But first I want you to be the next leader of the Cold Heart gang, work and be loyal to me. Can you do that?"
"What" Harold exclaimed in shock and pointed at himself while shivering in excitement and asked again to confirm "me boss?"
"Yes you, can you do that?" John repeated the question again calmly.
When Harold heard John repeating it again, he quickly knelt in front of John and kowtow to him while saying "Boss yes I'm willing, my dog life is yours. I will serve you for the rest of my life. If you say go left, I dare not go right. I won't do anything to break your trust in me. I will be loyal to you until I die"
"But Boss, you said that if I kill Brother Song you will make me the next leader of The Cold Heart Gang" Leon quickly interrupted when he saw things were not going according to his plans.
John looked at him in disgust and calmly nodded his head and said "yes I did say but you did it after the two minutes was up, So I guess it didn't count right?"
When Leon heard what John said he was relieved but when heard the second part of his sentence his expression became gloomy.
Leon became angry and blurted out "so you just watched me do it not nothing?"
John quickly shook his head "no,no. Not for nothing, by killing him you have helped me in fully gaining control over the Cold Heart Gang. So you killing him was not for nothing since it actually played out in my Favour"
"What do you mean? You make me kill my boss for nothing". Leon shouted and screamed angrily.
John just sneered and looked at Leon in disgust and said "people like you are the type of people I hate the most in my life. So don't stand there and act all righteous in front of me. You dare to kill a man who took you in, treated you like family and has make your life better with no remorse simply because you were vying for the position of Gang leader. I know that you have been conceiving this idea for a long time in your mind and was just waiting for the perfect opportunity to show your claws and when the opportunity presented itself you quickly grab it without thinking twice. If you could betrayed and kill someone who considered you as family then how Am I sure that you are not going to betray me as well who is considered as an outsider? How am I sure that when someone stronger comes you are not going to betray or stab me in the back as well?. So tell me why would I keep such a person like you by my side who will always make me sleep with one eye open. Your are very ambitious person and it is good to be ambitious but yours has no limits and you can go to any length to achieve it and due to that ambition of yours, you actually have no human feelings and it doesn't matter who you step on just to achieve your goals, Brother Song was a perfect example. Like you said before we need to tie off all loose ends and you my friend is my loose end simply because you are a potential threat to my safety"
After John said so much, Leon became speechless and couldn't utter a word to defend himself because what John said was the absolute truth. He has been planning to become the next leader for a long time and was just waiting for the perfect opportunity, so when John offered such conditions he pounced on it without thinking twice.
Thinking about how he has been exposed and used for nothing, his face became flushed in anger and there was hatred in his eyes for John. He glared at John while gritting his teeth and he had a twisted expression on his face.
When the other four heard what John said, they were so angry at Leon and threw death glares at Him hoping to skin him alive.
For Leon to kill Brother Song with no remorse simply because of becoming the next leader really shows that he has no sympathy and could really do the same to anyone.
When John saw their expression and hatred for Leon, he rejoiced in his heart because he has succeeded in diverting half of their to Leon.
"You just use me didn't you?" Leon shouted and questioned John.
John just smiled and said "weren't you willing to use me as well to become the next leader? But don't worry I'm going to use you as a stepping stone to achieve my goals of coming here today" After John said, he turned towards Harold and asked again " You said that if I make you the next leader then you can make all the people under the Cold Heart gang obey you right?"
Harold quickly nodded and said "yes I can definitely do it"
"Then I'm good to help you by making your position much more stronger" After John said that, he took out his phone and waved it at Harold and said "I have a video of Leon killing Brother Song. By using this video, you can then accuse Leon of betrayal and rebellion against the gang. This will help consolidate your position again more. With this video you can have a reason cause to kill Leon and get your revenge on Him and at the same time explained to the people of Cold Heart gang who killed Brother Song and for what reason right? That's like killing two births with one stone right?"
Harold was shocked when he heard about the video. The truth is that so many of them were so engrossed and scared that they didn't see John taking the video. That means that he had everything planned out from the get go.
John calmly look at Harold and said "all I want is for you to be loyal to me. What I hate the most is betrayal. If you ever betray me one day then you won't know how you died. All you have to do is to be there when I need you and don't worry I will not interfere in how you run the gang. You just have to be loyal to me, can you do that?"
"Yes, yes. I can definitely do that. My life is yours from now on Boss. I will always be loyal to you. I will never betray you, if I dare betray you then let me die without a dying place" Harold quickly nodded his head and said. Right now he wasn't even thinking of betraying John, he doesn't know why but he believes that if he stays by John side then he will achieve great things.
"Only time will tell" John nodded his head calmly and said.
"You framed me up?" Leon angrily question.
