Mokami walked in the garden of UA High, with Sahar on his side. They slowly ambled around, approaching the tranquil lake. The gentle breeze carried the scent of blossoming flowers and the soft rustle of leaves. Birds chirped happily in the trees, providing a calming soundtrack to their conversation.
Sahar sighed and began to explain how her last few days had been. "Ever since I escaped from Egypt and left my pro-hero life behind, I've been feeling so lost," she confessed, her voice tinged with sadness. "I don't know what to do. Nezu is working on my license, but the King of Egypt is making things difficult for me. It seems like it'll take some time before I can get my license back and start my hero career once again."
Mokami glanced over at her, sensing the frustration and longing in her voice. He tried to offer some reassurance, "You're an incredibly strong and capable person, Sahar. I have no doubt that you'll overcome this challenge and come out even stronger."
Sahar looked at him, her eyes searching his face. "Thank you, Mokami. Your support means a lot to me," she said, her voice softening. "But it's difficult to stay hopeful when everything I've worked for has been taken away from me."
Mokami felt his heart ache at the sight of her pain. He reached out and gently touched her arm, the warmth of his hand offering comfort. "I know it's hard, Sahar. But you're not alone in this. You have your parents, Amina, Nadia, and me. We'll help you through this."
Sahar gazed into his eyes, her own brimming with unshed tears. She smiled weakly, "You're right. I'm not alone. I have all of you, and I'm grateful for that."
They continued walking in silence, the peaceful atmosphere soothing their troubled thoughts. The sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the garden. As they reached the edge of the lake, they paused to take in the beautiful scene before them.
Mokami broke the silence, his voice gentle and sincere, "You know, Sahar, your strength and determination have always inspired me. And even in the face of adversity, you still manage to keep going. I admire that about you."
Sahar looked at him, surprised by his words. "Thank you, Mokami. That means a lot to me. But I can't help but feel like I've failed, not just myself, but everyone who believed in me," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Mokami shook his head, a determined look on his face. "You haven't failed anyone, Sahar. You've fought for justice and helped countless people. Sometimes, circumstances are beyond our control, but it doesn't make you any less of a hero."
Mokami looked at Sahar, the setting sun behind her casting a warm, golden glow over her figure, illuminating her natural beauty. Her eyes glistened like two deep pools reflecting the orange and pink hues of the sky, and her jet-black hair seemed to absorb the light, adding an ethereal aura to her presence. She appeared strong yet vulnerable, a warrior and a survivor, standing on the edge of a new beginning.
Taking a deep breath, Mokami confessed, "I feel guilty, Sahar."
Sahar raised her eyebrows, her eyes widening with surprise. "Guilty? Why?"
Mokami hesitated for a moment, his voice trembling slightly as he spoke. "It was because of me that the King came after us. If I hadn't created that dagger, none of this would have happened. You wouldn't have had to leave your country, and you wouldn't be in this situation."
Sahar shook her head, refusing to let Mokami blame himself. "No, Mokami. It's not your fault. I'm the one who asked for your help, and I'm the one who put you in danger. If anything, it's my fault. I should have known better than to involve you in my problems."
Mokami sighed, shaking his head. "No, Sahar, we're both in this together. We fought side by side, trying to do what was right. We can't blame ourselves for the actions of others, especially when they're driven by greed and power." He looked into her eyes, trying to convey the sincerity of his words. "We did our best, and that's what matters."
Sahar hesitated, her gaze locked with Mokami's. She could see the guilt that still lingered in his eyes, but also the determination to stand by her. "You're right," she whispered, her voice wavering. "We can't change what's happened, but we can choose to move forward and make the best of the situation."
Mokami nodded, a small smile forming on his lips. "Exactly. We'll face this together, and we'll come out stronger for it."
They stood there for a moment, the weight of their shared burden slowly lifting as they accepted the situation and their role in it. Sahar's eyes shimmered with unshed tears, the golden light of the setting sun making them sparkle like precious gems. Mokami's heart swelled with a mixture of emotions, his admiration for Sahar's strength and resilience mingling with the warmth of their growing connection.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky shifted from fiery orange to a soft, romantic pink, casting a gentle glow over the tranquil lake. Mokami glanced around, noting the beauty of the scene surrounding them. He had an idea and reached out to take Sahar's hand, the warmth of his touch causing her to look up at him in surprise.
"Come with me," he said softly, leading her to a small clearing near the water's edge. He released her hand and focused his quirk, the fat tissues in his body working to create something special for the two of them. Sahar watched in awe as a beautiful, intricately woven blanket appeared before her, along with a small, delicate lantern that emitted a soft, warm light.
Mokami spread the blanket out on the ground, gesturing for Sahar to sit down. "I thought we could enjoy the rest of the sunset together, and just... forget about everything else for a little while."
Sahar smiled at him, touched by his thoughtfulness. "That sounds lovely, Mokami. Thank you."
As they settled down on the blanket, their shoulders brushed against each other, sending a pleasant warmth through both of them. They sat in comfortable silence, watching as the sky gradually darkened and the stars began to appear, twinkling like diamonds against the deep blue canvas.
Mokami's voice was gentle as he broke the silence, "You know, Sahar, I've always admired the heroes who have the strength to keep going, no matter what challenges they face. And I think you're one of the strongest people I've ever met."
Sahar looked at him, her cheeks flushing slightly at the compliment. "Thank you, Mokami. But I wouldn't be where I am today without the help and support of people like you. I'm grateful to have you by my side."
Mokami smiled, his heart swelling with affection for the woman beside him. "I'm grateful to have you in my life, too, Sahar."
As the night grew darker, the air around them became cooler, and Sahar instinctively leaned closer to Mokami for warmth. He wrapped an arm around her, drawing her close, and they sat there, basking in each other's presence as they gazed up at the star-filled sky.
