It felt like someone was blowing the back of my neck with a cold wind when I heard Ani's shrill but soft laugh. I'm sure there is something wrong with her, Ani is turning more and more sassy and laughing a lot to herself even though there's nothing funny at all.
"It's still night and you can't go!" said the grandmother then snatched the basket of clothes that had been carried by Ani.
"No! Anyway, I'm going to the spring, Grandma. I'm going there!" Ani replied, increasingly struggling to fight over the basket of clothes with grandma.
Granny wasn't to be outdone either, she was adamant and wouldn't let her eldest granddaughter out at night. Grandmother managed to snatch the basket of clothes, instead of stopping Ani's behavior, she screamed hysterically. She roared, raged through tears and begged to go to the spring that very night.
I was shaking, scared, seeing Ani's abnormal behavior. Because her efforts were unsuccessful, Ani immediately shut herself in the room crying sadly.
"Look at Nimas. Ani became like that because she didn't hear my warning!" Grandma said with a worried expression.
I'm just silent... There's nothing I can do but to witness the strange incident. Even though it was getting late, I couldn't sleep, Ani was still heard crying in her room. But sometimes her crying is interspersed with scary giggles and makes goosebumps.
"Grandma... Grandma... Help." Ani shouted suddenly.
I was very surprised, the feeling of being abysmally and abysmally suddenly heard that scream. Again we approached Ani in her room. When we got there, Ani was cowering in fear in the corner of her room while covering her face.
"What's wrong? Why are you shouting?" asked grandmother worried.
"That. . There's a ghost. There's a ghost!" Ani said shaking while pointing at her bedroom door.
"Ghost?" I'm confused
"There are no ghosts here, so you sleep now, don't be weird!" grandma answered.
"I'm not lying Grandma, there's a ghost... I really saw it! That.. They're in front of the door. They're bald, small and lots of them" Ani started to sob.
Granny checks Ani's bedroom door, but she sees nothing there. Grandma even swept the floor and air around the door with a broomstick, but Ani still looked scared.
"Okay, now you sleep. Me and Nimas will accompany you. Tomorrow I will also call your father to chase away the ghost. Now go to sleep," said the grandmother trying to calm Ani.
Because of her nagging attitude, Ani is now causing trouble for grandma. She also ignored me and was rude to me, actually I was annoyed, scared, but also sorry for her.
But about the ghost that Ani saw earlier... I didn't see anything but... I saw a lot of brown slime in front of the bedroom door, but the slime liquid disappeared when grandma hit the floor with a broomstick.
In the afternoon the grandmother asked the neighbors to pick up Uncle Parso to come see his daughter, hoping that Uncle Parso could heal Ani. But it's a pity, uncle still has work out of town and will be home in two days. For me two days is long enough, with Ani's behavior like this it will definitely make me unable to live comfortably and sleep soundly for another two nights.
Ani's condition is getting worse, she laughs to herself for no apparent reason, sometimes cries, then puts on her makeup and when she's beautiful, she removes her makeup again. It's really confusing to see her behavior. And even worse, after every make-up Ani always wants to go to that spring, whether it's day or night, if it's forbidden she will rage and roar.
Even though I'm very sleepy due to lack of sleep, it's impossible to miss school, I'm weak, at night I really can't sleep well. Apart from Ani who was screaming, the atmosphere in the house became unpleasant. I walked sluggishly to class where apparently Widya had arrived first.
"Aih. Why are you so lethargic? It's also noon. You're usually the first to come." Greeted Widya with a surprised look, I put my bag down and leaned my head on the table.
"I'm really sleepy Wid, I haven't been able to sleep for three days"
"Why is that so?"
"You know Ani, right? She is exposed to negative vibes from the spring, her behavior is like a crazy person"
"What... The spring in the north of the village? How come?"
"Yes... Yesterday she went there with a very eye-catching make-up. My grandmother and I had warned her but she didn't listen to us at all, after returning from there Sis Ani became strange"
Hearing my story, Widya tried to hold back her laughter. "Why are you laughing?" I asked annoyed.
"Haha no... I'm just wondering, why don't she just go to springs and wear make-up. Then how is she doing now?"
"It's getting worse and we have to wait for Uncle parso to come, hopefully uncle can handle all this" I answered hopefully
We stopped the conversation after the teacher entered the class. Today uncle came, from the bus terminal he went straight to grandma's house to find out about Ms. Ani's condition.
"What happened to Ani, Mom?" asked Uncle who had just come.
"You better see for yourself the condition of your daughter, you will definitely know it" answered the grandmother immediately took uncle to Ani's room.
When the bedroom door was opened, again Ani was doing her makeup. "I warned her not to put on makeup when going to the spring. It's very haunted there. You've even witnessed the fate of Nimas before, right? But Ani doesn't want to listen to my advice," said the grandmother sadly.
Uncle was silent staring closely at his daughter then took a deep breath, it seems this is very hard for uncle. After that, Uncle decided to take Ani back to his house, he said there so that it would be easier to neutralize her and it would be better if Ani was away from the spring so that her dreams would not go there all the time.
Actually I want to know how Uncle neutralizes Ani, but it seems the method Uncle uses is far different from the method used when he helped me first.
