Chapter 100 - Return

[Host's Body is unharmed and unaffected. Host's Mental Space has been infiltrated by a dormant energy similar to Spiritual Energy, but it is at least 20 times stronger than the same amount of Spiritual Energy as the Host. This dormant Energy does not have a connection with anything outside the Host's Mental Space such that no communication with the energy being in front of the host can be conducted unless it becomes active. Note: The dormant Energy is slowly becoming active, and will take 30 seconds to fully become active.]

[Recommended action: Immediately use Spiritual Energy to attack the Dormant Energy and destroy it before it becomes Active.]

Without saying anything else, Kai immediately followed the System's instructions and focussed his own Spiritual Energy inside his Mental Space to form a sphere around the mark of external Spiritual Energy, before immediately using all his remaining Spiritual Energy to crush it into nothingness.

Due to how strong the quality and density of the external energy was, Kai had used up almost all of his nearly Rank 2 Spiritual Energy, which was a considerable amount. Thankfully, with this much force, he had been able to completely destroy it without leaving behind anything.

Thankfully, the presence in front of him had not realised what Kai had done, and just continued with his monologue after Kai nodded.

'Good. Then, let me first give you all the relevant information.' As he presence said that in Kai's head, information was already being sent into Kai's mind.

Of course, Kai had already set up the system such that it would filter everything coming into his mind, such that only information would enter, and nothing else. This way, he would be able to make the most of this opportunity.

Within just a second, all the information had entered his mind, and Kai felt enlightened. However, before the presence could do anything else, Kai immediately acted like he had been sent flying backwards and threw himself out of the dying tree with incredible ferocity, clearly hearing the presence inside exclaim in great fury.

'What are you doing? Where are you going?! STOP!'

However, Kai had already activate [Blood Burn] and sped up while also making the system protect his mind from anything and everything the presence could throw at him.

Based on his guesses, this figure was likely a small portion of the original being, with a considerable number of restriction, including actual combat power, as well as location. Else, he would not have been this angry to see Kai escaping.

Smiling internally as he realised that the presence would not be able to follow him out, Kai acted as though he was rejected by the presence inside and landed beside Robbin, a deep frown on his face.

"Failed as well?" Robbin could not help but sigh as he noticed Kai being throw out, just like him. It had to be known that the entire conversation, and process of transferring data to Kai, as well as his subsequent escape, had only taken up around 10 seconds, meaning he was inside for barely 10 seconds more that Robbin.

Kai simply took in a deep breath. To Robbin, this looked like his resentment, but in actuality, Kai was taking in a deep breath to calm his heart. Excitement and fear had caused incredible amounts of adrenalin to be pumped into his body rapidly increasing his pulse.

Gradually, Kai got to know Robbin better and the two of them began considerably close friends, well, as close as two Apprentices from the same organisation could get within 2 days, as they were sent out of the Dusk Realm once the time period was up.

Unfortunately for them, they did not encounter another opportunity. However, with the two of them working together, despite the Rank 2 golem having already vanished once the Magic power absorbed by the spell in the Rank 2 scroll had been used up, they were able to eliminate every enemy they came across.

Of course, they made sure to equally split the loot, except it was not equally distributed, since Kai did most of the work. Thus, he took an equal 70% of the loot, as well as 70% of the kill confirmations.

As it turned out, Madam Aria had not prepared him for anything, unlike Robbin, who had been sent with special glass containers which reminded Kai of test-tubes with corks on them. These were actually used to store the Spiritual energy of their kills, which took up considerably less space as compared to Kai's method of collecting heads.

Kai had already exchanged some containers and began using them to conserve on space. Unfortunately, you could only collect Spiritual Energy from a corpse within moments of its death, meaning all the heads he had collected could not be converted into Spiritual energy and Kai could only carry the around in the form of heads.

Not that it bothered him too much, especially after he stopped considering all his enemies as nothing more than collections of data. Only, he felt it was a bit of a pity to have so much of the space within his necklace being taken up by decapitated heads of former Rank 0 Apprentices.

In exchange for the containers, Kai had handed over around 1500 Mana stones, which was enough for someone to purchase just a single [Deer-Liver Potion]. Kai had a lot of Mana stones with him, so this was a beneficial deal for him, while Robbin had naturally made a small amount of profits by selling Kai an item when he needed it.

Kai did not mind this too much, as Robbin had straightforwardly told him how much it was for, and for how much he was willing to give the containers to Kai.

As soon as they exited, Kai felt multiple hostile energy sources fixing onto him, however, they were all dispelled as soon as the Rank 1 Mage from the Bluestone Sect appeared next to them.

"What happened to the other two?" He asked in a neutral tone.

"Killed," Kai said while looking over at the Royal Magic Tower Rank 1 Mage.

"Alright." The Rank 1 Mage from the Bluestone Sect brought Kai and Robbin as he left the gathering location, entered the Bluestone Sect teleportation ring, and vanished with Kai and Robbin.
