As the neon lights of Shanghai bustled below, Bing Meifeng found herself alone at a high-class bar. Despite having accompanied her parents to such places before, it was the first time she found herself there alone. Since witnessing Tie Zhu's shameless actions with Tao Keke, she had been unable to regain her composure. The scene kept replaying in her mind, a strange feeling gripping her chest. 'Who cares about him... So what... He is only a friend... but...'
As those same thoughts echoed repeatedly in her mind, she had flashbacks to the unfortunate event of just a few days ago, fueling her confusion.
"Excuse me, can I please have another one," Bing Meifeng called out, causing looks of concern from nearby people. She had come here to use alcohol to numb her chaotic thoughts. However, despite drinking many bottles of wine, she only felt a slight hint of dizziness.
Frustrated with herself for feeling lonely, she instinctively began fiddling with her phone. She debated whether to message Tie Zhu or not. '...No, what would I even say? Hmph, maybe I should just tell him not to bother coming over tomorrow!'
Suddenly, Bing Meifeng remembered that she still possessed Long Dahai's phone containing evidence of his crimes. Without hesitation, she quickly dialed a number.
"Hi little aunt, it's me, Bing Meifeng. I have something important you might want to see. Are you busy right now?"
"Bing Meifeng? What a coincidence, I was just about to call you. What happened?" came a surprised voice that carried a tone of warmth.
"Do you know those rumors about Long Dahai that have been going around? It turns out that they are all true! I know it's not your department, but people like him deserve to be imprisoned!" Bing Meifeng said, her anger apparent.
Although she had no intention of looking through any of the videos herself, it was inevitable that she noticed that his pitiful size, especially in comparison to tie Zhu as she quickly sent over the incriminating videos to her aunt. The fact that she instinctively compared such a thing only added to her frustration at the fact that she had even thought of such a shameful thing.
"I'm sorry it took a bit of time, but I think that should be almost everything." Bing Meifeng apologized after she sent over the last file.
"No worries, I'll see what I can do about it later. Oh yes, I've got something important to tell you. Lately there have been a few strange occurrences. I'm sure with your cultivation you must have noticed it too, but in particular only a few days ago there was an unprecedented surge of spiritual essence that came from Lake Taihu that managed to attract many powerhouses and hidden masters to the city. Even the higher ups are not sure exactly what had occurred, however rumors have been going around that the source of such power could only come from at least a profound grade artefact and possibly even a heavenly artefact! Though I am aware of your competence, I urge you to exercise caution during these uncertain times." Her aunt replied.
"Speaking of which, we have also detected another rogue cultivator in our midst. While this is not entirely uncommon and would typically not pique your interest, I thought to inform you as he happens to attend your very school," her aunt added.
"....Who may that be?" Bing Meifeng inquired with a deliberate pace, already suspecting the identity of the individual. 'How has that lecherous fool already been uncovered? Must I school him once more on the art of concealment?' she seethed inwardly.
"My darling niece, as it relates to you, I conducted a thorough investigation, and I learned he is in the same class as you. His name is Tie Zhu. Have you noticed any peculiarities in his behavior of late? Surely, with your level of skill, you would have discerned his status as a cultivator... unless he possesses a talent for concealing his abilities. In that case, we may have to monitor him more closely than anticipated," her aunt ruminated.
"No need for you to trouble yourself with him. Allow me to keep tabs on him, for he currently serves as our chef," Bing Meifeng responded after ruminating on her reply.
"Good heavens! Is it true that our Ice Princess Meifeng has taken a liking to someone?" her aunt retorted jestingly, although a trace of astonishment lingered in her voice.
"I assure you, there is nothing of the sort. Speaking of which, how was his cultivation status discovered in the first place?" Bing Meifeng asked with a hint of unease in her chest.
"Haha, it just so happened to be that the way he was discovered was that someone had filmed him messing around with the person who you were despising not long ago. Hehe, Although I have to say, if you have your eyes set on him you might have some competition." She replied cheekily.
"I've already said, it's not like th" Bing Meifeng replied flustered.
"Haha, I was only kidding, but I have to go now, something important has come up, bye and remember to stay safe!" Her aunt quickly interrupted her as she was midway through her sentence.
'.... It's all that hateful pervert Tie Zhu' s fault! ' She thought to herself angrily as she buried her lightly flushed cheeks in her soft palms.
After finally calming herself down she quickly stood up to finally leave the bar, however as soon as she turned towards the exit, one of the last people she had wanted to see could be seen walking in from the entrance.
It was none other than Long Dahai who angrily walked with his bodyguard not far behind. His entrance had caused strange glances from many people, with some unable to hold back their laughter. The reason for this was that only only was his arm in a heavy cast, but so was the bodyguard behind him.
Seeing his poor appearance, Bing Meifeng felt no pity at all for him, especially after witnessing his barbaric deeds. 'So this must be Tie Zhu' s doing... Hmph, I guess I can give him one pass for that.' she thought to herself.
Not wanting to be in the same room as Long Dahai for a second longer, Bing Meifeng was just about to turn the other direction to sneak her way out, however it was at that moment that Long Dahai noticed her.
