Care to explain what?" Wang Yazhu asked trying to sound as if nothing had happened.
"Don't you dare pretend like you're oblivious to what I'm referring to," Tie Zhu retorted furiously, his eyes flaring with indignation. "Why should I even consider assisting you now? Give me one legitimate reason why I shouldn't just seal you away for all eternity!" He was taken aback that Wang Yazhu had the audacity to feign ignorance, but he refused to reveal his true motives for requiring his assistance.
Hearing Tie Zhu's threat, Wang Yazhu was not too concerned. Instead he chuckled as his eyes glinting mischievously. "Fine, it's true. I'm not some benevolent deity, I'm the Tentacle God, the one and only. And as the one of the most knowledgeable cultivators in the universe, you should be thanking me for even considering helping you."
As Wang Yazhu spoke, he also took his time to examine the changes in Tie Zhu's body. As he did so, he was taken aback by Tie Zhu's sudden progress in cultivation. He couldn't believe that Tie Zhu had managed to regain his mind after succumbing to dragon soul, and the fact that he had advanced to the third step of Qi Condensation overnight was even more surprising.
Wang Yazhu had initially planned to possess Tie Zhu's body as he believed it would be an easy target due to the difference in their status. However, now that Tie Zhu had made such rapid progress, Wang Yazhu had to rethink his strategy. He knew that Tie Zhu's Primordial dragon's beast core would be protecting him, making it almost impossible for him to take over his body. In addition, Wang Yazhu began to realize that Tie Zhu's potential for cultivation was far greater than he had initially thought, and he began to consider the possibility of Tie Zhu reaching the Divine Warrior realm. "Besides, I've already waited over two billion years, what's another few thousand more...I can always get my revenge later..." He said as if consoling himself of his previous failure.
With this thought he had intended to properly guide Tie Zhu to progress to the Divine Warrior realm as quickly as possible.
Wang Yazhu's voice dripped with arrogance as he spoke. He held his head high, as though he were the most important person in the room. "In fact," he said, drawing out the words for emphasis, "especially in this entire world, there is no one better who can guide you than me." His eyes glittering with a manic light. "There is no one who will be able to give you any insight into the treasures in the spatial ring. And believe me, there are artifacts in there that, if used incorrectly, could easily destroy that planet." He paused, letting that sink in.
"But that's not all," he continued, his voice rising in excitement. "There are incredibly powerful techniques that I know, that only I am capable of teaching you. Techniques that would be greatly beneficial for you." His smile was cold and calculating, as though he were relishing the idea of having power over Tie Zhu.
Tie Zhu couldn't shake off the feeling of suspicion that lingered in his mind after hearing Wang Yazhu's words. The shift in attitude was too sudden and it made him wonder if there was something more to the story. However, he had to admit that he couldn't refute Wang Yazhu's claim of being a highly knowledgeable cultivator. From what he had learned from Bing Meifeng, Wang Yazhu was unquestionably more powerful than anyone on Earth.
Tie Zhu took his time to think through his options before replying cautiously. "I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time, but don't forget that I have the power to seal you away forever. If you try anything like what you did yesterday, I won't hesitate to use that power. And don't even think about me helping you recreate your body." He said.
Wang Yazhu's eyes narrowed in contemplation as he considered Tie Zhu's progress in cultivation. "It seems that you have made some progress" he said, a note of grudging respect in his voice. "But physical strength alone is not enough. To truly become a powerful cultivator, you must also master the art of using your powers effectively."
He paused for a moment, his gaze fixed on Tie Zhu's face. "Elemental techniques are a good place to start," he continued. "They can catch your opponents off guard and give you an edge in battle. However, before we begin, we must determine which element you are best suited for. Although you have a rainbow elemental beast core, each individual cultivator has a unique affinity for a particular element. We will need to conduct some tests to determine which one is yours."
However at the same time he was thinking this he couldn't help but curse Tie Zhu in his mind 'How dare he, a mere teenager, threaten a deity of his stature?' The audacity of it all was enough to make him boil with fury. 'Ahhh, I'll get my revenge one day, you just wait!' As these thoughts raced through his mind, Wang Yazhu forced a small smile, continuing to speak to Tie Zhu as if nothing was amiss. The almighty Tentacle God was a master of deception, and he would bide his time until the perfect opportunity presented itself.
Tie Zhu's heart raced with excitement at the prospect of learning new techniques. He could hardly contain his eagerness as he pondered which element he would be most adept at. The threads of fire he had previously absorbed hinted that his affinity lay with the element of flame, and he couldn't help but imagine the sheer power he could wield if he learned to channel it properly. He envisioned hurling blazing balls of fire from his palms. His mind was consumed with thoughts of the endless possibilities that awaited him, and he eagerly awaited Wang Yazhu's guidance to unlock his full potential. As he was excitedly imaging how he would use such techniques he had only read about in novels and seen in movies Wang Yazhu suddenly spoke.
"To test which element will best suit you all you have to do is to input some of you spiritual essence into an elemental tracer. Luckily there should be a few in the spatial stone. It looks like a pitch black stone like object with ten sides." With Wang Yazhu's guidance, Tie Zhu quickly located the elemental tracers within the spatial stone. As he picked one up, he felt a strange energy emanating from the object, as if it was alive. He examined the ten sides of the tracer, each one etched with an intricate design of glowing lines and symbols.
"So how will I know what element if best suited for me?" Tie Zhu suddenly asked right before inputting his spiritual essence.
"Each side represents an element that will light up with its respective element if you have a certain talent in that area," Wang Yazhu continued. "For example, a red light signifies fire, while blue would signify water. If, by luck, you manage to have an affinity for space, you would see a flickering grayish haze. Generally, the brighter the face lights up, the more talent you have in that area."
With a deep breath, Tie Zhu nervously placed his hand on the elemental tracer and guided some of his spiritual essence into it. But as soon as the first trace of his spiritual essence entered the tracer, it immediately began emitting a strange buzzing and humming noise before something unexpected happened.
Extremely dazzling bright lights suddenly appeared from all ten surfaces of the elemental tracer, filling Tie Zhu's room with blinding blinding colorful lights that made it almost impossible for him to keep his eyes open. Even Wang Yazhu was shocked by the intensity of the lights. "No, that's impossible. There must be something wrong with the elemental tracer!" he had to keep telling himself even though he knew such a possibility should be almost impossible as those were the highest quality tracers there were.
"Ah, what's happening. I can't see anything" Tie Zhu called out as he had to turn away from the tracer while covering his eyes.
"CRACK!" Suddenly a loud cracking noise filled the air as the dazzling colorful lights immediately dissipated. The elemental tracer had actually crumbled into fine dust that lay motionlessly on Tie Zhu's bedroom floor.
