The air was heavy with tension as Declan wouldn’t even recognize Clarisse nor did he acknowledge Luke and Konrard’s presence. Lowell was only trying to be civilized and keep faces, but all of a sudden, the tension had shifted with Clarisse finally handing in legal divorce papers to his twin brother. With each second passing by, the awkward silence hung heavy as no one spoke for another minute.
Finally, Luke broke the ice as he cleared his throat and said, “Anyways, we wanted to visit you since your pack will play a vital role in our fight against the vampires.”
“I don’t want to hear about it,” Declan snapped at the Crown Prince, “Go away, the lot of you.”
“I’d like to share with you a plan that would lift your status higher in the Werewolf Kingdom, Alpha Declan,” Luke added quickly, dismissing the fact that Declan had the audacity to talk down to the Crown Prince and order him around.
