Clarisse approached Shannon with one thing in her mind. Despite showing kindness and keeping a calm demeanor, she hadn’t forgotten the events that happened the other day. Forgiveness wasn’t something Clarisse was willing to give when she knew it wasn’t due.
“Sister Clarisse,” Shannon greeted her.
Her eyes darted to the last maid that exited the tent. Glancing all over the tent, there was no other soul left inside aside from Shannon and Clarisse. Music had already started outside, and there were just a few moments left before she got out and start walking down the aisle.
‘What does she want now?’ Shannon wondered.
She was a bit defensive knowing how scary Clarisse had been when she entered and grabbed a pair of scissors earlier. Even though she said she didn’t intend anything Shannon had accused her, Shannon knew otherwise. She wasn’t that dumb not to notice at all.
“Shannon,” Clarisse said, a smile spreading on her face. “It is time.”
