Chereads / Green Heirloom / Chapter 13 - Chapter 12

Chapter 13 - Chapter 12

"How could Mr. Sansega have been kidnapped by a demon?!" Osie couldn't think of anything.

"Why wouldn't it be possible? As the one with the best green magic power, he would definitely be targeted."

Both of them fell silent. Behind that silence, Osie realized something. Something that made her laugh bitterly. She kept laughing until her bitter laughter turned into loud laughter.

"What's wrong with you?" asked Hagarino in surprise.

Osie finally fell silent and looked at her brother meaningfully.

"Big brother, don't you realize? Mr. Sansega's green magic is just like the Yoghiwara family's magic. Is it possible—"

"The Yoghiwara family has been wiped out!"

"Really? Don't you remember, the bodies of the first son of the new leader of the Yoghiwara family and several children of Sakerio were not found back then."

This time the silver-haired man was silent as he thought. His hands were tightly clenched into fists.

"That old doctor ...."

"Surprisingly, no one noticed that."

"Not strange. Sansega's magic does have differences with the Yoghiwara family's magic in general. The Yoghiwara family's magic cannot be used to attack the enemy. They relied on capable martial arts and the help of the leprechauns. So, it's no wonder that they lose big against rebels who have magic with high attacking quality."

"Damn. I've missed what I've been looking for." Osie growled.

Hagarino rubbed his sister's shoulder. All sorts of thoughts entered the brain. How to free Sansega from the demons would definitely not go easily. Moreover, what he had to face was a second-tier demon that could even defeat many selected warriors and soldiers. This time his head was getting dizzy.

They continued their journey with the aim of finding Sansega. However, Hagarino realized that what they were going to face was a demon. So, he took the initiative to take Osie to meet the greatest sword forger in all of Jegedi and obtain the best sword there.

On the vast grassland, small colorful flowers were sticking out. There were only a few small trees covered in dense foliage. There was a group of leprechauns chatting happily on the grass as if they didn't notice the man watching them.

The man smiled broadly. His tears melted down his cheeks. There was a warm feeling that touched his chest when he remembered the togetherness of himself and the leprechauns in the past.

However, while engrossed in nostalgia, someone tapped him on the shoulder.

"Boy."

The man, who was none other than Sansega, turned around while wiping away the tears that had pooled on his cheeks. He was surprised to see the presence of someone he had looked up to as a child until now.

"Father ..."

The middle-aged man with a bushy beard smiled warmly. Behind him were several leprechauns who bowed respectfully to Sansega.

"It has been ten years since that night. I hope you can continue our duties as Yoghiwara."

Sansega chuckled softly.

"Father didn't even ask how I was doing."

Just like Sansega, Sanruya—the father—laughed a little. Then, he tapped Sansega lightly on the shoulder. Now the man stood in front of his son. Letting out a long sigh.

"You are now in the empty space that separates the Karavel Dimension from the real world. No one is in charge here but the Almighty. For the time being you are safe, my son. However, upon awakening, you will be in the hideout of the demon who kidnapped you."

Sansega raised his head toward the blue sky. Then she took a deep breath and looked deeply at her father.

"Why must my memories be manipulated? At this rate, I won't have time to train."

"Do you regret your decision?" asked Sanruya.

"Yes. This is the first time I've found your decision unsatisfactory, Father. Here, on my shoulders is a great responsibility to bear. However, I am not even strong enough to do anything right now." Sansega sat down on the grass as he looked down like a sulking child.

Disappointment engulfed him as he learned he was the last descendant of the Yoghiwara family that the royal court had been searching for. Instinctively, the green heirloom was in his hands even though he had never physically touched or even seen it. Sansega felt that he was not strong enough to control the green heirloom and repel the demons and quell the uprising.

He thought of himself as just a palace doctor endowed with the strongest green magic in the entire continent. Nothing else. It never occurred to him that he was a Yoghiwara respected by all beings on the Cluster Continent.

Sanruya chuckled.

"If your memories weren't manipulated, you'd be in the afterlife by now."

This time Sansega looked up while raising one eyebrow in surprise. However, before he could ask another question, a glimpse of the past crashed into his mind.
