Prologue
July 12, 20XX
A hooded figure walked down the street after school one day. He was looking to go to Tokyo Credit union, to get the new JapanCard Platinum. It was a state-sponsored debit card that gave him 3% cashback on purchases within the limits of Japan. He could see its silver flash as he swiped to buy groceries, a cute, young woman in a store uniform scanning his provisions. As he fantasized about these encounters, he looked left. There it was, the Tokyo Credit Union, a long-standing bank which survived the Tokyo Firebombing.
Inside the building, Kyoko the bank-teller looked towards the door, as it swung open. A high-school student walked in the building, swaggering as he went. "Look, I am here to sign up for the JapanCard Platinum. Now, what can I do?"
"Alright… We are looking at adding 10,000 yen to your yearly charge, and 5,000 up fronts. You really want to switch? You know, your old card has some- ""Listen up! Do you have the card or not!" "Oh… Ok. You did not have to be that loud, Anyways, I have changed your card. Now, give me yours and I will get you one." The two exchanged cards, but when he walked out, something caught his eye.
It was not a millisecond until he was knocked out, along with the rest of his future party. The world had died, and the gods of another world had thrown what they had to transport the group.
