It was seven o'clock pm when it all happened, I saw the very thing I was scared of the most. The fear of becoming the one I promised not to be. I just got off from work and I lived in a small but tight apartment. The living room and the kitchen were across from each other, the bathroom was on the right down the hall, and the bedroom was next beside it. I walked into the bedroom and lay down on my bed. I was about to drift into sleep and that is when I heard a loud clanging sound from the kitchen.
I peeked a little bit from the white-painted door, it was kinda hard to see because of the slightly dimmed lights. I walked slowly with each step making a loud but slow creak coming from the wooden floor. The white walls of the hall seemed as if it was changing forms from animal to person to a creature. Once I reached the kitchen I saw a tall black creature whose mask looked like a doctor century's ago and with a scythe that seemed to symbolize death itself. The masked creature slowly turned around while its white human eyes looked curiously at where I was at. It made a loud clicking noise, and it crawled toward me. I looked away and placed myself beside the wall hiding or at least trying to hide from the creature. However, it seemed it was no use. The creature made loud thumps with each step, and the sound of the creature's steps seemed to get louder and louder. Until it stopped when it finally looked at me and sniffed me like an animal. The rhythm of my heart started to faster once the adrenaline of fear and anxiety stabbed through my mind. Like the creature was playing my mentality watching whether or not it would break.
Then finally I broke I made a loud gasp, and the creature screeched as it rose its long arms. Then its claws reflected the slightly dimmed lights as if it was saying, "I am your beautiful nightmare. One that you will never be able to bare…", and struck me down stabbing my chest and when the creature tried to release its claws. It ripped my beating heart out leaving a hole. Blood dripped, veins popped out, and my organs seemed to have been pulled out along with my intestines which lay on my body and the floor. Then I woke up and it ended there, after all that it was nothing but just a beautiful nightmare. The End.
