Mendel drove the car as fast as he can, scaring the two at the back.
"Dude slow down, you might kill us" Yuji said.
"Yeah, Yuji is right" Loid agreed as he help Yuji clean-up the blood.
"You're bleeding too death" he yelled.
"Calm down they're not too deep" Yuji said with a small smile then suddenly,
His vision start blurring and lights went out.
Yuji didn't know what happened, he woke up in a hospital bed getting blood transfusion.
He tried standing up but a finger pushed his forehead down, "Please stay put, don't get up yet" the nurse said.
"How did I get here?" he asked, "Two guys came carrying you, how did you get that huge cuts on your back?" the nurse asked.
"The two didn't answer?" Yuji was confused, "They both said, it was because of you being stupid" the nurse said.
Yuji had a small laugh, then worry strikes him. "I can go to school tomorrow right?" he suddenly asked.
"That I didn't know, you should ask the doctor" the female nurse said before going out. As she goes, she told the two that Yuji was already awake.
Loid came running towards him while Mendel just walks with his hands on his pocket.
"Dude I thought you were a goner" Loid said,
"With small cuts, this dude is built different" Mendel stated.
"Who's blood is this?" Yuji asked as he looks on the tube. "That's mine so in deed you are now in debt to me" Loid said before,
but Yuji didn't agree, "You lied about the cats then I almost got killed because I attended with you" Yuji replied back making Loid shut up.
Mendel laughed and his phone suddenly rang. He moved to the corner of the room and came back handing the phone to Yuji.
"Who's this?" Yuji asked puzzled, "Just talk" Mendel said.
"Uhmm Hello?" Yuji said.
"Are you okay?!" two female voices said in unison.
"Who's this?" he still looks puzzled.
"You're really a clueless one" The girl said, "It's us Mina and Sana" Sana said,
"Are you gonna be okay?" Sana's voice said,
"I'll be fine, but how's Momo?" Yuji suddenly blurted out.
"We don't know, she suddenly went off and get home" Sana said, "Maybe she was shocked from what happened" Mina added.
Yuji agreed, "I'm fine don't worry" he said before giving back the phone to Mendel.
"Tell them I'm about to rest" he mouthed to Mendel, "I'll tell them" Loid butts in but Mendel just shrugged his head.
Loid felt in despair after Mendel said goodbye.
"The agency will probably contact you" Mendel said, "That would be such a hassle just tell them to cover the hospital bill" Yuji said before laying down comfortably.
"Noted" Mendel smiled before signaling Loid to come out.
They turned down the lights and let Yuji rest, but before he could sleep the doctor came in.
"Good evening, how's your back doing?" the doctor casually asked, Yuji answered honestly, "It still kinda stings every time I move" he said.
"Your cuts were not deep but it still need stiches and it was wide" the doctor explained, "You should avoid physical activity, since it would open your stitches" he added.
"So I can't exercise?" Yuji asked, "You can't, doctor's orders" the doctor said.
"You can be discharged today and here's the medical prescription for pain relievers, take care" the doctor said.
Yuji get up and get dressed immediately, he texted the two guys that he will be out soon. As he was about to get out, a man in black suits came inside, "How can I help you?" Yuji asked confused.
Then a beautiful woman came in, it was Momo.
"Uhmm Hello?" she shyly greeted.
"Ohh Hello" Yuji replied awkwardly, he was about to speak when Loid and Mendel came in.
Loid was staring at Momo completely, then Sana and Mina also came in.
The room was crowded and full, Yuji got irritated by this feeling, "What are you guys all doing here?" he said in an irritated tone.
All of them were shock, Mendel gave him a confused look.
"Sorry sorry, why are you here?" he asked calmly,
"We came in to check on you" Sana replied, "Yeah we saw you getting stab, we thought you were dead" Momo replied with pity on her voice.
"How are you?" Mina asked sincerely,
Yuji sighed, "Don't worry, this is nothing. Please be on your way" he said with no intention of being rude.
Then Loid and Mendel raised their brows and sighed as well,
"Please excuse our friend, he's a zombie and doesn't know how to speak politely" Loid said where Mendel agreed on.
Sana and Mina laughed, "You're cute" Sana said before walking out,
"Take care" Mina stated before also walking out with Mendel following him,
Loid was star struck of how close the three is to him so he wandered off outside.
Momo and her guards were on the room, "Uhmm can you guys go out for a while, I want to talk to him privately?" Momo said.
The guards nodded and gave Yuji a sharp look, which Yuji returned back.
The moment the guards came out, she hugged Yuji.
"Thank you" her tears gush out, Yuji felt his wounds got touched but he wasn't able to complain.
"Shhh, you probably been scared" Yuji tried to comfort her.
Momo suddenly realized that she was so close with Yuji, she moved away. "How can I ever repay you?" Momo said sobbing.
Yuji smiled, "The cap? I kinda like it" he said smiling, "Hat?" Momo was confused.
"Think hard about it" Yuji said before rubbing the top of her head.
"I just did what I can do, so no need to feel bad" those where his comforting words.
"You mean the cap earlier?" she asked, Yuji just nodded.
"B-But it just a cap?" Momo was hesitant, "Yeah that's all I need" he said.
After that the two went silent and the heavy awkward atmosphere comes back again.
"You should probably go home to rest" Yuji said out of the blue,
"Y-Yeah you too" she replied back.
Momo left the room and Yuji sighed of relief.
He also walked out of the room, Loid was waiting outside asleep.
"Dude, let's go home" he shook his shoulders.
"Huh? Sure" he said handing the keys to Yuji. "I can't believe this guy, I have stitches and i still have to drive" he said.
"Dude, I know you're okay, I hear your conversation with the doctor" he replied.
"Fine, but you have to carry all of our stuff" Yuji said, "Sure sure" Loid said as he stood up.
As they were walking, Yuji remembered, "By the way, where did Mendel go?" he asked.
"After settling the bill on the cashier, he went home" Loid replied.
They got by the parking and Yuji started driving, then Loid asked a question.
"Why didn't you want help from the company?" he asked.
"Dude, that would be so much of a hassle plus if I did that media will swarm at me" Yuji replied.
"Yeah, but that would make you popular-, Nevermind" he stopped cause he understood what Yuji meant.
Yuji doesn't really like publicity, he won a lot of awards for his academics but he refuse to earn popularity from it.
After a while they arrive at Loid's home.
They got out of the car and before they go through the door, "Don't tell your Mom, about what happened" Yuji said.
Loid just nodded and as soon as they go through the door.
"Mom!! Yuji got stabbed" Loid yelled.
