Chapter 2 - First Customer

Ruii groggily opened his eyes, he was still half-asleep as he didn't even noticed the unfamiliar ceiling up on where he currently sleeps on. He got up and placed his hand on the table beside him, which again wasn't even there in the first place.

Did he have a table the- Ruii widened his eyes, filled with evident shock. "What the-!" Suddenly a system board similar to one of the games popped up in front of him. He looked at the board...

With his shocked face he looked at the small holographic board reading the contents of it. 'You basically died, and now you're here.' After reading it, the small holographic board disappeared. He got up from the bed and looked outside of the window, this... place was quite familiar.

Like in a video game, in a medieval age. Suddenly something clicked inside of his head, no way... Riferville! A village in Ageis. A place where players usually go to because of one thing here. The shop.

Yes, a shop. The shop which was highly priced by the players sincerely because it was a mystery shop, so you can buy grinding items here and potions instead of crafting them which you would need to get the materials first.

Now that he looks at it, this place... looks like the said shop of Rifeville... He opened the door out of the room only to see a small hallway a few rooms and a bunch of stairs. I turned right and casually went down the stairs. Looking at the place...

It definitely was "The Shop" Does that mean... Suddenly another holographic board appeared in front of his face. 'Welcome Shop NPC.' The holographic board shortly disappeared after that. After that, he saw thousands of circle appear on his view before it turned into a game interface.

"Goodness." He hovered his hands over to one of the circles and pressed it, it said Shop details so... And in the next second a holographic board showed up once more. 'Shop status: closed...' So he is the Shop NPC now.

Now this may just be another dream... nonetheless, he wished that he could play some online games right now. He raised his hand and pinched his cheeks only to feel pain from his cheeks. "Oh..." It wasn't a dream.

Nonetheless he had to start doing something. The holographic board closes and the game interface on his vision suddenly appeared once more. He pressed the Shop Open button and in an instant the shack's covers had opened revealing the noisy town.

If Ruii can remember, he had been to Riferville and had seen the Shop NPC, the Shop NPC has no models despite being a very important key to boost the player's game progress, and he doesn't even have a name.

But his personality was said to be quite bored, he got it form the game's wiki. He doesn't seem to be energetic but just seems to be somebody that doesn't care at all. But now, he's just going to act how he usually acts.

Suddenly someone approached the shop and entered. Long ears and luxurious blonde hair, her piercing cold gaze and an hourglass figure, wow an elf. She looked around the shop, her gaze ultimately landing on me who was leaning on the counter.

Since it was a fantasy world, it usually has elves and orcs... and other things. The game was pretty luck based to get other characters, which means that yes, the main character's race was also based on your luck. Angel being the rarest.

He sighed while looking at the elf with his lonely gaze. Though it didn't ask for help, it sure did tell quite a story. A story that he doesn't want to talk about.

The elf approached the counter. "Hey, pioneer." Pioneers, it's the same race that the Shop NPC had, they were usually albinos and were said to be the "creators of economy" they were either business monsters or the richest people on earth.

"Is there anything you need?" He asked with a cold tone. The elf suddenly shuddered. Deep inside her mind... this pioneer, such a cold gaze, this man must be a veteran warrior. Just like have you said father, appearances can truly be deceiving.

"Hmm..? Hey..." Ruii asked while waving his hand infront of her. She suddenly snapped to reality and continued to look at Ruii.

"U-uhh.. Yes, I'm sorry for spacing out. Do you have any healing potions." The elf said, which made Ruii nod while holding out his hands and there appeared in his hands was a tube of red liquid.

The elf's calm demeanor didn't change which Ruii take it as everybody had an inventory. Through the use of the interface he can suddenly make them appear.

The elf looked at his hand and grabbed the tubes of potions quietly. T-THIS MAN HAS SPATIAL MAGIC!? Spatial magic one of the most rarest and strongest magic, with just a snap he can throw me to a volcano, even yet the ABYSS!! T-this man must be some type of warlord...

This elf has troubles of spacing out doesn't she? Ruii spoke out which made the elf shudder in response while looking at his cold face. "You should probably clear your mind often, otherwise you'll trip... and fall." He meant it literally.

The elf suddenly widened her eyes... What could he possibly mean from that!? Trip and fall!? Clear my mind!? This man knows something that even my elders don't!

"You'll find yourself in a tight situation when you're indecisive." Those words, does he know of my situation? "That's why you should clear your mind and think of the world more than your problems. Some choices are invisible after all." He said that as a very positive advice.

The elf widened her eyes, this man knows the burden she's carrying. He must know what choice must she make! His cold eyes, can be deceiving but she truly knows this man was the messenger of the elven god for her! Now she must find that choice, to save the elven kingdom as the princess of it. "I thank you... May I have your name?" The elf asked.

"Ruii."

"I see." She is truly right! Ruii in the elven language means "Messenger!" This man was sent a god sent. "My name is Faria. I have a deep gratitude for you... Mr. Ruii." Ruii smiled.

Deep gratitude, sounds fancy, he should use fancy words more often too. "That deserves no gratitude." Ruii said with a smooth tone. Now that's over, the usual Shop NPC would say this when you're going to leave. "May enlightenment seek you." He doesn't know what it means, but it sounds nice.

Enlightenment? Huh. The elf thought with a smile. He must know that whatever choice she makes only leads to illuminating the land of the elven. Now she must.
