Chapter 20
**Honeymoon VI—My Drunken Wife**
‘Is everything okay?', Hannah asked as the door finally opened after a minute of knocking, ‘I just wanted to know if you're both okay'.
Adonis who was just interrupted from having a moment with his wife frowned deeply, it took a lot of courage to not snap at her, ‘We're fine Mrs Anderson...as a matter of—'
‘...fact, I was just about to see you'. Liliana interrupted as she barged out of the room, dragging Hannah along until they were as far as possible away from Adonis. She heaved a sigh of relief, placing a hand from her chest as she was just saved from the sexual tension that almost choked her in the room.
Hannah who was still confused waited until she was done breathing heavily so she could figure out what the hell was going on, ‘You guys are the worst couple I have ever seen. Yet you're still the most exciting'.
Liliana's brows puckered, ‘What?'.
‘I mean you both hate each other with burning passion', Hannah giggled, ‘But you both have the hots for each other...it's like an enemies to lovers romance which I totally live for'.
Liliana couldn't help but scoff at Hannah's observation about her and Adonis relationship, they did hate each other and there was some sort of sexual tension she couldn't lie, but that was all there was to it. They are in reality, not some romance novel or movie where they would end up falling in love with each other—loving a man as cunning as him seemed scary to be honest.
‘That's just a load of crap Hannah', she lied blatantly through her teeth, ‘I certainly do not want the prince and I will never get down and dirty with him—as for the future of our relationship, just expect a divorce soon cause I just can't stand him'.
‘Well why did you agree to marry him then?'.
The question threw her off guard for a moment, ‘Cause I was forced to that's why'. It was the most obvious answer, but deep down she knew it wasn't the only reason she married Adonis.
Hannah wasn't buying it for a moment but decided not to push it any further, instead she changed the topic and dragged her new found friend to the bar for a drink. It was exactly what Liliana needed, a drink and someone to talk to—Maybe spending time in Hannah's company would make her forget about Adonis for a while, and that she was a married woman...It was something she still found so hard to wrap her head around.

Marcus Brynn quickly shoved his half lit cigar inside his drawer the moment Megan walked into his study. Her brows furrowed deeply as she knew what he was up to, but she was too tired to nag her husband to death about his bad smoking habits, so she took a sit instead and poured herself a drink which threw him off immediately—she only drank when she was frustrated or worried.
‘Meg is something wrong?'. He asked as he gently took the bottle away before she consumed any more alcohol.
She sighed, ‘Do you think Liliana would still talk to us after being forced to marry Adonis?'.
‘So that's what you're worried about?', he snickered as he placed a kiss on her forehead to drive her worries away, ‘Liliana is a grown woman and we're her family, she'll learn to love Adonis just like she had a crush on him when they were kids'.
‘I don't think she remembers anything about her child hood, I don't think she even remembers Adonis when they were kids at all'. Megan's worries only increased and it had every right to do so, her husband was just so happy that he wasn't losing his company and his daughter was married, he couldn't even see how much he was ruining their family.
There was no way Liliana would want to mend their estranged relationship, not after coming home with years of being absent only to be forced to get married. Megan shook her head as she left Marcus who couldn't understand the worry she was going through as a concerned mother, she closed her eyes for a moment hoping her daughter returned back to her without any Ill feeling.
Marcus on the other hand chuckled softly, Megan was such a worry head, he thought as he poured himself a glass of whiskey. A satisfied sigh escaped his lips as he sat back down, it didn't take too long before his wife's words started to make sense after a minute of pondering, then he also started to get worried on the fact that he might have ruined his relationship with his daughter forever.

It was past midnight and Liliana still hadn't returned to the room, Adonis tried his best to sleep but for some reason he couldn't bare a wink. Groaning loudly, he pushed his bed covers to the side and got up to get a glass of water, the door bursted open startling him so bad that he spilled the water all over the floor.
Liliana staggered into the room and the smell of alcohol wafted through the air which made him frown deeply—they have been married for a day and she was already drunk, he remained silent and watched as she scrambled to to take off her non-existent shoes off her feet, groaning and making a fool of herself as she wasn't in her right state of mind.
‘You're drunk'. He muttered in annoyance.
‘No....I am not'. She drawled in response.
Rolling his eyes, he walks towards her and taking off the stockings off her feet, she smelled of brandy and strawberries, igniting an unwanted spark inside of him which he didn't like. Still in her drunken state, Liliana laughed heartily as she sprung to her feet from the edge of the bed and strode towards the window—placing both hands on it and still laughing.
She was a beautiful maniac, Adonis thought as he shook his head, she was a beautiful, annoying and drunk maniac who started to scream for no reason—an ear piercing scream that almost rendered him deaf, ‘Liliana....'
‘Ohh shut up'. She fired, she was drunk and still hated him.
‘Go to sleep, you're embarrassing enough like this', he pulled her towards the bed and she yanked her hands away from his grasp, ‘Don't be stubborn and get to—'
‘What are you going to do?', she chuckled as she moved closer towards him in an uncomfortable way, ‘Are you going to seduce me into sleeping with you?'.
‘You're drunk and you're out of your mind', his brows furrowed as he took a step back away from her, so this was how it felt like— being tempted, ‘Go to sleep Liliana'.
Like the stubborn mule that she was, she ignored his command and proceeded to stagger her way out of the room. Adonis called out to her, already on the verge of anger as she ignored him again....Good, he thought, she could kill herself for all he could care but deep down he knew that was a lie—he loathed her but he also didn't want her to kill herself...he did care.
Sighing deeply, he went after her just as she was about to jump into one of the pools and possibly drown herself. He hurled her over his shoulder and shook his head as he carried her back to the room, ignoring her struggle to escape, ‘Sit still!!'.
‘Let me go you bastard', she groaned as he pinned her with both hands to the bed, ‘You're not getting your way with—'
‘I'll only have my way when you want me to', he finally let her go but she was already too tired and drunk to flee from the bed—he was tired too and wanted his sleep. It didn't take too long before he yielded and fell asleep just at the other side of the bed, then his eyes sprung back open again—his drunken wife had vomited all over the bed.
