Chapter 19
**Honeymoon V—The opposite couple**
‘Hi my name is Hannah, Hannah Anderson'. The short curly haired woman with beady brown stretched forth her hands towards Liliana at the dining table. She was also a guest at the royal resort with her husband Billy Anderson which was funny cause Liliana thought she was going to be staying with Adonis alone—it felt nice to have another woman by her side, just as it felt annoying knowing how much she loved her personal space.
‘We just got married you know', Billy said to Adonis, ‘Got this place as a honeymoon present from the queen of Wales herself'.
Adonis's brows furrowed deeply as the unexpected guests had his mother literally written all over it. Billy Anderson was tall, broad and handsome with a beautiful mane of striking blonde hair, his wife was also a beautiful woman—they were a beautiful couple with their eyes filled with love for the other, he couldn't say the same about him and Liliana though.
Dinner of roasted potatoes and steak with mashed gravy and sauce was served, everyone dug in including Liliana who was famished from her flight and incessant arguments with her husband. Matilda poured him a glass of wine, flashing a smile which made her frown deeply—Was the woman in love with her husband or something? she thought to herself as Matilda brushed past her rudely to pour a glass of wine for the other couples.
‘Uhhh could you pour me a glass of wine please?'. She raised her empty glass.
‘Sorry your highness', Matilda muttered, ‘But I'm all out of wine. I'll have one of the maids fetch you another bottle'.
‘It's fine don't worry'. Liliana sighed deeply as she placed her glass back on the table. There was an awkward sense of tension which Adonis could feel between the two women, almost like the head of staff didn't like his wife and who could blame her? Liliana was one of the most insufferable humans to walk the earth.
‘Your highness??', Hannah Anderson found the term confusing a little bit, ‘Does this mean you're—'
‘Yes I am. Liliana Brynn, nice to meet you'. Liliana but her off, extending a hand and a smile to welcome the new guest. Adonis cleared his throat after throwing her a death stare for not claiming her marital name which was Tegan.
‘Oh my God!!!', Hanna squealed with excitement, ‘That means.....'
‘I'm Prince Adonis Tegan the second of Wales'. The prince interrupted while Liliana surreptitiously rolled her eyes, there was nothing more pathetic than blurting out his full title with pride written all over his face.
Hannah felt like a school girl meeting her highschool crush for the first time but much better, she was in the presence of royalty—the shadow prince himself as the media calls him, everyone knew about the prince of Wales and that he existed but only few people knew what he looked like....now she knew what he looked like! and she was going to be staying in the same resort with him until her honeymoon was over.
Liliana wanted to stab herself in the eye as another woman fan-girled over her husband, she wasn't jealous in any way—just outright nauseated. He was acting so charming towards Hannah when all he was, was a pretentious manipulative arrogant man whom she hated with so much passion.
‘Can we please eat?!', she finally snapped, stopping the conversation that was going on, ‘The food is getting cold'.
The prince's brows arched as he smirked, it was obvious she was sick and tired of the praises Hannah Anderson was showering shamelessly on him, not caring about her husband who was solely focused on his food. At least another woman appreciated him for what he was, not his so called wife who wallowed in her pit of hatred towards him.
‘So are you two married?', Billy asked as he drove a forkful of mashed potatoes into his mouth, ’You sure don't look like—'
‘Billy don't say that', Hannah quickly scolded her husband, ‘I'm sure they're very much in love with each other. Not every couple likes showing their affection publicly'.
Liliana chuckled softly, ‘We're married but we're definitely not in love'.
‘What?'. Billy and his wife were both confused in unison.
Adonis nipped his bottom lip as the urge to snap her head in two gradually increased. She was being messy and smugness tugging at the corner of her lips was enough proof of so, ‘Lili—'
‘It's an arranged marriage', Liliana ignored the death stare coming from the prince and turned to face the other couple, ’We just got married out of duty and so our parents don't go bankrupt anyway, the prince and I don't like each other...we were basically forced to come here'.
He sighed deeply as his fists clenched, ‘Liliana......'
‘What?', she shrugged lightly, flashing a devious smile and turning to Hannah and her husband again, ‘You guys are so lucky, you're the opposite couple and Hannah—You really don't know what the universe has done for you, they have given you a wonderful husband who adores you', she glanced over at Adonis who was fuming on his side of the table, ‘.....while I'm stuck with an arrogant prick'.
‘Liliana!!!'. He yelled and slammed his hands on the table, ’That's enough!!'.
‘Well cry me a river!!', she fired back as she also rose to her feet and slammed her hands on the table too, ‘You didn't think I would praise you for making Mario quit, or reducing my job to just picking rocks?! You're a nasty—'
‘I've had enough of your crap'. He grabbed a hold of her arm and dragged her away from the dining table, while the opposite couple watched in bafflement of what they just saw. Billy shrugged lightly and returned to his food while his wife stretched to see what was going on.
Liliana struggled to free herself but his grasp was too strong and he wasn't letting her go until they got to their room. He slammed the door hard behind him and lessened his grip which gave her the opportunity to release herself, ’Don't ever do that again!!'.
‘You have the mouth of a viper young lady!'.
‘Well you—', The words fled away from her mouth as he pushed her against the wall, placing both hands on each side so she couldn't escape, ’What....what....what are you doing?'. She stuttered.
There it was again, that mischievous twinkle in his eyes which she feared so much, ‘ Since it's our honeymoon', his voice turned hoarse in the same way that drove her insides crazy, 'Lets.....'
‘Lets do what?'. She fluttered her lashes with a frown on her face and he leaned closer, almost going in for a kiss when a knock was suddenly heard on the door.
