Supposedly, we should be entering the academy at our age. But I insisted on have homeschooled since I can still be with my parents and can visit Leitz whenever my mother does. We should have that problem in two or three years of studying in the academy.
How could Leitz answer that? Even if it is the basic problem, it is another concept and formula. Knowing Leitz who didn’t have a proper class. I may answer that since I started to read ahead of our classes.

Leitz calmly walked towards the board and answered the problem that was given to him. Leitz wrote down his solution on the board. After answering, he looked at Baron Gustin. The Baron was shocked to see how Leitz gave the correct solution and answer to the problem he gives.
“Now? May I leave?” Leitz said with a calm and expressionless face.
The Baron clenched his hand and grabbed Leitz’s clothes. “You arrogant brat! You just luckily answer that!”
“Baron Gustin, let him go!” trying to pull away that Baron from Leitz.
“I said don’t get involved in this!” pushing me away.
Leitz glared at the Baron. “You pushed him?”
His eyes started to glow like a predator glaring at his prey. The Baron felt scared and trembled. The door suddenly swings open and Tita Leiana came pushing a cart with snacks and refreshments on it. I heard sobs and look in its direction.
Leitz who is earlier glaring at the baron now like a puppy being bullied on the verge of crying.
“I brought snacks!” Leiana said happily.
However, when she saw the situation, her smile slowly faded away.
“Mom…” Leitz said in a shaking voice.
I gape at what I witness. Just how is he so great that he can have teary eyes in a SPLIT second? Furthermore, since when give such bullied expressions? I never once saw a cry not even that teary. He can do that?
“What are you doing?” Tita Leiana asked with a serious facial expression.
“Your son is so arrogant. I understand you being a commoner but at least you should have taught him proper manners and etiquette.”
Tita Leiana left the cart and walked toward me. She helped me get up and dusted off my clothes and pants.
“Are you hurt?” she asked gently.
“A bit…” I almost murmured.
The Baron was pissed off more since Tita Leiana ignored him.
“HAH! Even the mother has no manners! NO WONDER!” the baron yelled.
“Just what did my son do for you to grab him by his collar?” Tita Leiana raised her brow to face him.
“He wanted to leave because he said you already taught him the lesson I’m discussing! Just how such a commoner like you be knowledgeable? Your son doesn’t know how to appreciate being taught by me!”
Tita Leiana looked at the board. “Is that the thing you let him answer?”
“Yes…”
“Hebron, is that your lesson now?”
“No Tita Leiana… we didn’t reach that topic yet...”
“You grabbed my son by the collar just because he wanted to leave? Just because he already learned and answer your problem correctly?”
The Baron flinches. “You crazy bitch! Now I know why this child has no manners. It’s because his mother is a bitch!”
Tita Leiana walked toward the two of them and then grab one of his wrists.
“Let go…” Tita Leiana smiled sweetly while gripping tightly his wrist.
[ LEITZ POV ]
I looked in the direction of the door when it swung open. I saw my mother walk in pushing the cart with sweets snacks and refreshments. Ah, mother! Right mother is here. I should be good. I breathe in and out before. I try to make my eyes teary and look being bullied.
“I brought snacks!” she said happily.
Mom raised her head and saw the situation inside the room.
“Mom…” I said in a shaking voice.
“What are you doing?” she asked with a serious facial expression.
Yes, that is my mom. Do you dare to insult my mom in front of me? Huh! Just wait and see, you, good for nothing, tutor!
“Your son is so arrogant. I understand you being a commoner but at least you have a proper manner and etiquette.”
This man is shameless and presumptuous.
Mom left the cart and walked toward Hebron. She helped him get up and dusted off his clothes and pants.

“Just what did my son do for you to grab him by his collar?” she raised her brow looking at the Baron.
“He wanted to leave because he said you already taught him the lesson was discussing! Just how such a commoner like you be knowledgeable?” he said as if it was the most ridiculous thing he ever heard.

Mom looked at the board. “Is that the thing you let him answer?” gazing back to the Baron sharply.
The Baron flinched at her sharp gaze. “Y…yes…” he stuttered.
“Hebron is that your lesson now?” without looking at Hebron.
“No, Tita Leiana… we didn’t reach that topic yet...”

“JUST…” Mom cut him off and emphasized the word. “Because he is smarter than you think he is. That YOU COULDN’T ADMIT to yourself that my child couldn’t be underestimated JUST because he was JUST a commoner, BA-RON… YOU COULDN’T ADMIT the embarrassment you felt when my son answered your problem perfectly...” Mom pointed out emphasizing every word to insult the baron.
She grabs his hand and that holding my collar. Her grip on them tightly on his wrist made him lose me. When I feel the looseness of his grip, I prepare myself to land on the floor. Mom pushes the baron away and approaches me.
“Leitz, are you okay?” she asked worriedly.
“I’m okay now, mom. Because you are here!” I beamed.
Mom hugs me and I hug her back. Ah~ a mother’s hug is the best! I had never experienced it before. So, this is how would it feel to be loved by your mother. I accidentally see the baron watching us and our eyes meet. I smirk at him and look at him smugly.
The Baron gritted his teeth while looking at her full of hatred.
“Hah! The kid hides behind his mother’s dress. That is reasonable since he has no father to teach him how to be a man!”
I clenched my jaw. This trashy bastard, I want to dig his throat with my knife. She always looked down on my mother! Who cares about my father? He is another jerk who couldn’t take care of my mother! A useless husband, HAH!
Mom smirked. That made me look at her. She breaks from our embrace and takes a step closer to the baron.
“I don’t care what you called me, baron. I don’t even care if you can’t accept me as a commoner. And I don’t even care if you called me a woman with no husband. BUT…” mom glared at him. “Don’t you, ever insult me in front of my son Don’t you mention in front of my son that he is fatherless. Who are you to teach my son insulting words? Are you a tutor? Mom picks up the book, without hesitation slaps the book on the baron, which made his face turn to the other side. As if it isn’t enough, she slaps him again on the other side.

The baron didn’t finish his sentences and mom push the book into his mouth.
“Don’t you know Baron? Speaking bad words in front of my son is prohibited? You consider yourself a private tutor when you don’t even know saying bad words in front of a child is a grave mistake?” she said threateningly.
“You are corrupting my son’s ears.” She pushed him away which made him fall to the floor. “The next time I hear you saying such words in front of my son. Instead of sweet snacks, I’ll shove nails in your throat, Baron,” she smiled at him sweetly.
Hebron approach me. “Tita Leiana is cool and at the same time scary. She can smile like that while saying those threatening words.”
I look at him and see his face looking blank expression.
“Seems you aren’t scared though.”
“Why would I? I have known Tita Leiana and you for so long. I just wish no other foolish person enough to dare you.”
Mom holds, Hebron and my hands. She leads us in leaving the room. I glance at the baron one last time.
“Bye, trash.” I mouth him and smirked.

On that night, we dine in together for the dinner. In the middle of their conversation, Marquess Johann remembered the letter that the baron had sent to him.
“Uhm… Leiana I have heard what happened earlier…” Tito Johann started.
Mom put down her utensils and looked at Johann. “I am truly sorry for the fuss I had made, Marquess. However, I am not sorry for what I did to the baron. I would understand if you want us to leave…”
Tita Vera and Tito Johann look surprised. I understand why they are surprised. Mom never addresses them by their noble title since they insisted. The reason they are that close to each other and wanted to stay close friends. Mom often called them like that if ever she is teasing them or we are in a public place.
“Suddenly calling me Marquess…” Tito Johann feeling strange.
“Suddenly calling him Marquess…” Tita Vera seconded. “Wait Leiana…” she said with worriedness and confusion. “What happened?”
“Leiana I don’t intend to do such a thing. You are my wife’s closest friend, almost to a sister, and my guest. How could I do such a thing to our important guest? You are like family to us, Leiana…” Tito Johann explained.
“Thank you for your kindness, Marquess…”
“Leiana please stop calling me Marquess… It’s kind of strange to hear it from you…” Tito Johann smiled at her. Hoping that it would stop the awkwardness that mom gave him for calling marquess.
“Just what happened while we were gone?” Tita Vera asked confused.
I know Tita Vera and Tito Johann already have an idea of what happened. That the baron stepped on my mother’s bad side. Or else, why would mom be addressing them formally? That means it is a serious matter and mom is no time to joke.
“Mother it’s because of Baron Gustin,” Hebron explained.
“Baron Gustin?”
“Yes…” Hebron started to tell the story of his parents as what happened earlier.
