"We have new clan members coming and we need this place to be spotless!" Shaoqing said, standing in front of the boys and Xuanji with a group of buckets full of water and the mule's cart full of a ton of cleaning supplies. He had gotten up early in the morning to hike down to the village and stock up on all the cleaning supplies he could get.
"And you expect me to clean?" Bolin asked, looking at the cart with a frown.
"Yes, actually," Shaoqing said, glancing at Xuanji. "Your mother said you had to clean. Since you came home, this is what you get to do."
"Mom!" Bolin said with a whine, looking over at his mother. She laughed and shrugged her shoulders.
"He's right," she said softly. "We all need to make this place liveable for our new clan members."
"Don't worry, I got Minghao to agree to bring his clan and help," Seiji added. "It won't be just us. He wants his clan to be able to live comfortably here."
