As planned, the three stayed inside and watched movies all day. Everett and Yongliang cuddled on the couch, while Yanan camped out on the ground. It was a quiet day and Everett was able to calm down. The next morning was a blur as well as they all scrambled together to get ready to head out and meet the other cultivation clan.
The group started walking up the path that led to the Shaman's house. Everett stayed close to Yongliang, looking around every few seconds to make sure none of those boys ended up showing up even though he knew it was far fetched. Though he knew if they did, he wouldn't hold back this time. But they seemed to be afraid of Yongliang, which was good.
"Are you okay?" Yongliang asked, squeezing his hand and looking at him. Everett gave him a small smile and nodded his head.
"I'm okay," Everett told him softly. "I know nothing can happen to me. Especially not with those kids. It's not like they have superhuman strength like Sora did…"
