Everett sat on the bed, his nose buried in a book he wasn't even reading. Yongliang was once again transferring spiritual energy into Han Yanan. He was holding onto him with a back hug, which caused Everett to get overly jealous. He knew it was stupid to be jealous because he knew this was the most effective way to help the boy, but it hurt. Everett shut the book and sat up.
"I'm gonna go get a soda," Everett announced, walking past them and grabbing his wallet and phone off the dresser.
"Are you okay?" Yongliang asked, looking up at him in worry. Everett glanced them both up and down before shrugging his shoulders and continuing to make his way out.
"I'm fine," he said, causing Yongliang to frown.
Everett left the room and walked through the house they were staying in. He didn't get far when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned to look at Yongliang, frowning slightly and crossing his arms. Yongliang let go of him, staring at him with wide eyes.
