Everett was sitting out by the river, skipping stones out of boredom. Yongliang had left to the nearby village to get them some food. Yongliang often visited the village in order to help them out with their necessities. Everett also didn't want fish and deer meat all the time, so Yongliang has been making sure to keep them stock. The villagers would even give them materials like bedding and clothes, and even let Yongliang do odd jobs for them so they could have some money.
The sun was setting when Yongliang finally returned. He placed down his shopping bags before walking over to Everett and wrapping his arms around his waist. Everett let out a soft chuckle and turned around to face him. They both made eye contact immediately, causing Everett's heart to skip a beat. Nervously, he wrapped his arms around Yongliang's neck, neither of them breaking eye contact.
