Chapter 7 - Probably a date??

The gut feeling of being watched overwhelmed me, I looked up and saw two pairs of eyes staring at me, I got awkward and fled the building after paying for my meal. "Min Jun," I called out to the stranger. He looked at me and began to walk away again.

I quickly stood up and chased after him. "Hey," I called out to him. He continued to ignore me and kept walking away. "Hey," I yelled and ran after him, I grabbed his hand and he turned to look at me. "What!" He yelled. His voice attracted people, they turned to look at us and I got shy. I hid my head avoiding their gazes, I didn't want anyone to recognize me.

Min Jun dragged me into a flower store away from the questioning eyes. "What do you want?" He asked me. "You never called me, I just wanted to know if you wanted to be with me or not," I said. While I blurted out my thoughts, I stared at my hands and admired them to ignore his eyes.

"Be with you?" He asked, I nodded still staring at my hand. "Didn't know you were that desperate to be a wife, I am not going to be with you, it's just a contract," he said harshly. His words pierced my heart but it was the truth. I tried to hold my tears and swallowed an imaginary lump in my throat. "Yes, it's just a contract, a stupid contract. I am sorry. I was just being desperate," I said and headed for the door.

Why did his words hurt so much, it was the truth. "Wait," he said but I wasn't listening, why should I wait? He wasn't interested in being with me, why wait for more insulting truth?

"I don't even know your name," He said and I stopped. "Mei Xing," I replied. "Mei Xing," he called out. I hummed a reply and held the door. "I accept the contract," he said. I didn't know how to react, do I really want this or do I just walk out the door, he already insulted me and made it clear that this was going to be a contracted marriage. Do I play hard to get or just accept that I needed him desperately?

"You don't want me anymore?" He questioned. He was standing close to me now, when did he get there? "I didn't say anything," I murmured. "So do we have a deal?" He asked me and I nodded in acceptance.

"You will have to meet my parents. I already told them I am getting married," I said. He looked at me speechless. "I barely know you and you want me to meet your parents?" He asked me. "No, no, no," I shook my head. "We can go on a date first, then you get to know me and I get to know you and then you can meet my parents," I said.

"Hmm," he said. "When do I get paid?" He asked me.

"You get paid fifty thousand after the date with me and after you get to know me," I said and looked at him to see his reaction. "And the other half?" he asked. "After the...," he rudely interrupted me pouring out his thoughts. "Is it after the marriage contract ends?" He asked. I looked at him speechless and he must have read my facial expressions wrongly and was questioning me with his eyes.

"One year, you want me to wait one year for the other half?" He asked, not waiting for an answer, he continued to question me. "You don't trust me?" He asked me. I shook my head dismissing his questions but he wasn't listening. "No wait!" I said forcefully. He looked at me with the same questioning eyes waiting for an answer.

"I will pay you the other half after the meeting with my parents," I said. "I was willing to wait one year but I like the contract already," he said smiling.

"When am I meeting your parents?" He asked me. "Aren't you concerned about knowing me first?" I asked him. "Of course I want to know you," he said, paused and looked at me. "On Saturday, are you free Saturday, I will give you a call and we can go on the date," he said. I smiled brightly and nodded.

"See you Saturday," he smirked and opened the door. "Ladies first," he said bowing, I blushed lightly and walked out the door. "Wait, " I said and handed him my personal number. "It should be easier to reach me there," I said.

"Okay babe," he said and walked away, I smiled slightly and walked back to my car. "Miss," the driver said when he opened the door. "No questions and please do not tell my dad what you saw today," I said when I got in. "What happened today?" He asked me and winked. I laughed and thanked him. He got into the car and we drove back home.

I kept smiling through out the day until I met dad and he said…
