After Callie left, Thomas and I had a long talk about what happened and how we felt about it. Though Thomas is still uncomfortable, it isn't enough that he isn't willing to try having a relationship with both of us. With my ability, I am more open to the idea and look forward to when we can all get together again, not only for s*x but also to talk.
So many great relationships are torn apart or not even started because of the absence of talking.
A wave of dizziness hits me as we're walking to our room, and I fall on my *ss. The jarring thump as I fall to the floor has Thomas rushing to my side, fear clear in his eyes. An image of Callie followed by the Fireside symbol floats in my mind's eye and I gasp, the information from her Goddess much more forceful than that of my own. A cold sweat covers my body until the sensation of having the details thrust into my mind ends.
Letting out a shaky breath, I look into Thomas's worried gaze and manage to gasp, "Callie. Fire. We go. Now."
Thomas's features harden before he rushes out to get ready to go. I get up from the floor slowly, making sure that I am steady on my feet before I follow him to the living room. My shields are thin after the sudden intrusion, making it difficult to block out Thomas's less-than-friendly thoughts towards our prospective partner and her Goddess. Not wanting to anger him further, I slip my shoes on and grab the cloak he hands me. Snatching up my Healer case, I shut and lock the door firmly before catching up to his stomping footsteps.
