Another day arrived. The only difference is that Chiyo is slightly excited to go to school today. Knowing another girl is a wonderful experience for Chi. After being surrounded with boys for a long time, Chi enjoyed Yura's company more than what she think. Yumi sensed her excitement as she gave Chiyo her bentou. Chiyo didn't even realize that she's almost skipping on the way to school.
Arriving in class, Chiyo noticed the whispering in the background doubled in number. Even her dense self can feel that they are talking about her. She went to her sit and sat down. 'What rumor cause them to act like this? So funny...' Chiyo took a glance at Yura, She was busy reading a book when she sat down. "Good morning, Yura-chan."
"Yeah, hey... Good morning, Chi-chan!" Yura smiled but still kept her eye in her book. She seemed engrossed to it so she dare not bother her. She let the other people whisper about, that's how she roll. Lunch starts and Chiyo decided to find out what's going on. she asked Yura, "What's wrong with everyone?"
"Huh? Don't know... what do you mean?" Yura asked back. She really did seems clueless about everything. She noticed that Yura is as quiet as she is and seems to also keep to herself. A few of her friends came by, but their conversations are mostly about some traditional song she doesn't know. Yura didn't seems to mind introducing her to her friends but her friends seems to be not interested. They act too snobbish for her taste. In the end, Chiyo decided to secretly invade the most-visited girl's comfort room in school to hear some gossip. She waited and listened in on their talk, until... "...Really, I kid you not. I heard her parents are a member of Yakuza that's why she's wearing that eye patch. They told me her parents angered their boss or something so they gave up her eye instead of their fingers. Really scary, I tell you..." Chiyo heard a collective gasp and some shuffling. "Plus, I heard she aspire to be part of the Yakuza, too. Just like her parents, which is why everyone is avoiding her now. Well except for that Yura something, don't know her last name. They're both weird." Some small laugh followed then a few noises indicating they're putting on their make-up. Chiyo was trying to hold down her laugh as she figures out if this rumor will benefit her or not, When suddenly her phone rang. 'F-ck!'
With her phone ringing, She waited out if their going to leave but they didn't. The group stayed quiet but didn't leave. They wanted to know who is listening to them gossip. With an awkward feeling, Chiyo answered the phone and decide to reveal herself. With her phone in her ear she went out and face this funny group and see what they'll do. They seemed scared and quickly gathered their stuff and leave. Chiyo asked the caller, "Ryu-nii, What's wrong?"
"Akihiko is on his way to your school, he wanted to pick you up. but I can't go because My club have to clean up in the art room right now. Aki can't wait to see you. Just telling you so you won't be surprised." Ryu-nii seemed to be really busy at the other end. Chiyo said okay and good-bye. "Okay, good bye. Don't let Aki bother you too much."
There's still an hour before the school ends. Chiyo saw Yura on her way to class. "Yura!" She caught up to her then smiled. Yura smiled as well, infected by Chiyo's smile. "Did you hear? I heard someone spreading that my parents are members of Yakuza..." Chiyo is confident that Yura doesn't care about this, but she can't help asking anyway. She wanted to hear what Yura thinks about it. "Really? So... What does that mean? Are they spreading your Yakuza, too?" Yura asked, tilting her head slightly with a confused look.
"I don't really know, too. I just heard them. I couldn't care less but... Didn't that scare you?" Yura was taken aback by the question, then quickly shake her head. "My family doesn't like rumors so I don't pay attention to such. Maybe that's why I have few friends. I didn't even know until you told me. As for what I felt about it... hmm, I don't feel any bad feeling towards you. So I think your good." Yura smiled to Chiyo, 'Plus, you look pleasing to the eyes...' She added in her head. This answer brought relief to Chiyo. She didn't show it but she really is happy being friends with Yura. In school, just one friend is enough. Chiyo and Yura talk some more until they reach their classroom. The class got quiet when they entered the room, but neither girls care about it. But Chiyo stopped when she saw her table are full of vandalism saying 'YAKUZA' 'EYEPATCH DEMON' And many more creative name-calling... The Words didn't bother Chiyo but Cleaning her ruined table did. She went to the cleaning supply closet and grab what she needs and start cleaning the heck out of that table. Yura offered to help but she declined.
Erasing the words written in it was a pain in the ass, Chiyo is seriously holding a grudge. 'Once she finds whoever did it...' Then, she remembered that bullying in Japan is a whole another level compared to her old school. She better watch out with her shoes and stuff. 'Should I tell my parents?' Chiyo doesn't know what to do. She was never been bullied before.
School ended and Chiyo said goodbye to Yura, since the latter still has club activities after school. Chiyo saw Akihiko being stared at by a bunch of girls from school. Akihiko doesn't care about them, but Chiyo thought about her situation. Chiyo decided to hide and sent Akihiko a message.
Chiyo: Meet me at the nearest cafe, Aki-nii. Get me some strawberry parfait, Please...
Akihiko: Oh, okay. Do you still have something to do in class? I can wait.
Chiyo: No... I'll see you there.(◠‿◕)
'Please' and emojis did the job as Chiyo expected. Akihiko always listened to anything she says, but there's also things Akihiko never compromised... That is until she says 'please' and act alittle cute. Akihiko is no match for Chiyo.
Chiyo saw Akihiko leave. But then she felt water splashed at her. She didn't saw the culprit. They ran so fast. Soaking wet, Chiyo don't know how she's going to meet Akihiko. She tried drying it with her clothes with her slightly wet handkerchief but it's still not enough. In the end, she walk in front of the cafe looking like a wet puppy. She can't go inside so she called Akihiko. "Hime~ Your strawberry parfait is waiting. Are you on your way?"
"I'm in front of the cafe. I can't go inside, I met an accident-" Chiyo tried making up a reason why her clothes are wet, but Akihiko only heard the word 'Accident'. "Accident! What happened?!"
