Skye
I had made a portal to Trealle and the eight of us went through it. I showed everyone around town, giving a full tour before getting Mason. Once we were done in town I stopped to see Arabella, she hasn't changed in the slightest. I told her to not tell anyone about my twin sister, see how good she is at keeping secrets. Though everyone else does have eyeballs so... shit. I then lead the way to the castle to get my brother, I made everyone wait in a place hidden from the entrance. Then I headed into the castle, ready to be pissed at my apparent not actual parents. I found Mason in his room and ended up scaring the crap out of him.
"Holy— Skye you scared me to death." He exclaimed then jumped off his bed, rushing over to hug me.
I slightly hugged him back and pulled away saying, "So there's something you need to know..."
He frowned slightly and asked, "What is it? Is it bad..?"
"Eh... I guess no not really, kind of but... I don't know. You might want to sit down." Mason furrowed his brows but went and sat on his bed again, I sat beside him and explained, "You know mom and dad right?" He nodded in confusion so I continued, "Well... turns out they aren't our parents. They're our aunt and uncle. Our real mom, lives in the other world. With a daughter." I paused to let him register and process what I told him.
"And our dad?" He quietly asked, not needing to verbally confirm that our other uncle was at least right about us having a sister.
"We actually have different fathers... maybe, I'm not actually sure... Mom has a nasty habit of lying. May as well be the same though if they are different cause they both ran out on our mom after getting her pregnant. My dad's dead, our sister killed him a little while back. I don't know anything about yours... However if he's alive he's probably not worth finding." I answered, realizing I am an idiot. Could've just gone to the Boss and gotten a crap load of DNA tests done to see who I'm actually related to and I could've done that to find Kelsey easier if they're in our system already.
"So you came all the way here just to tell me this?" He questioned, looking at me.
"There's one more thing to tell you before I answer that, you used to live half here, half with our mother and would play with our sister in the other world... but when you were three, "mom" faked your death so you could live here and our sister could move on and forget you. She never did though and uh... She's actually here with me waiting outside with some others I'd like you to meet." Mason had looked down when I told him what happened but at the end his head shot up, excitement sparking through his eyes.
I gave a small smile and stood up saying, "Come on." Mason followed me downstairs and outside to where everyone else was waiting for me. I got him to wait a second to make a slightly dramatic entrance, then calmly said, "Kelsey, here to meet you again for the first time in twelve years.. Mason." I gestured to him as he walked out from hiding. Kelsey looked like she was seeing a ghost, though I guess to her she really is since she thought he was dead this whole time. Her eyes watered a little and after whispering that he's not dead embraced Mason in the hug he was offering.
I'm assuming she was extremely happy to see her brother again because plants shot out of the ground all over the fricken place, trapping the other seven of us.
"Um... Hate to slightly complain and ruin the brother sister bonding happening right now but uh... I don't quite like being smothered by flowers, I actually kinda hate flowers in general anyways but to die of suffocation from them would be the stupidest way to die." I said since no one could fuckin move. After her and Mason looked at us trapped I lit a fire on myself and got free, me being me I didn't free anyone else with it. They all looked at me like what in the fuck just happened.
"How did you..." Pretty much everyone but Dylan questioned. Mason and Luke looked like their brains exploded, well so much for keeping powers a secret. Ugh.
I shrugged and answered, "I'm extremely good at controlling my powers. Not that hard." Everyone still looked baffled so I just rolled my eyes and burned the rest of the plants trapping everyone, so they could be free and we could continue with this tour.
"Wait, powers?" Luke piped up, almost looking scared.
"Ahhh fuck sake...." I muttered before explaining, "Uh... yeah. On top of being the princesses of Trealle, Kelsey and I are shapeshifters and I obviously have, firepower." When saying firepower, I said it in the same voice as in the movie.
"Ha, there's a lot more than that but okay." Kelsey added in. Luke looked utterly confused and looked at everyone with slight concern.
"Yeah.. well. Not my shit to tell, I know more than anyone what it is to keep secrets." I replied, sighing that she added that.
Everyone else shared looks then shrugged and Drake stated, "The rest of us are werewolves, except for Mason and Lily as far as I know." Luke looked like his brain hurt so I changed the subject.
"Let's get on with this tour shall we? Mason you joining us?" I said to the group then asked my brother. I decided to bite my tongue about how Mason may be a shifter or werewolf after all, simply because of our mother. However his scent is so dull it's extremely hard to detect since his abilities have been dormant for so long and he hasn't reached the age Kelsey was at when she discovered her own powers. He nodded to answer my question and I made another portal to my house, what fun this will be. Note the absolute sarcasm. I hopped through first, everyone else following after me. Luke and Mason still had their minds blown from the fact they went through a portal to a different world.
I unlocked my door then turned around and said, "Alright, this is my house. No bitchin or commenting how small it is, otherwise I will beat the fucking shit out of you and there's no guarantee if you'll live from it or not. Anyways nothing special about this place so I don't know why you guys wanted to see it so badly." I turned back around after sounding like a legitimate tour person for a few seconds and opened my front door, walking in. I heard collective gasps of astonishment come from everyone except Dylan, Lily and my sister, which made my muscles tense and hands clench.
"Woah you weren't kidding about the art work Kelsey... Jesus it's cool." Drake said to his girlfriend as he ran a hand along a wall. I just stood trying to keep a straight face and not flip the fuck out at people seeing my art work, even though they don't know it's mine. Apparently I was tightly clenching my fists, I only noticed when Dylan gently ran a finger across the back of my hand. Felt like happy lightning going through my skin, the hell. I mean not even close to the first time it's happened but still.
"Do you feel my emotions when I mind link you?" I whisper asked him.
"Sometimes, only if you're letting me." He whispered back.
"Well trust me, you don't want to feel them right now." I quietly said a little angrily. I could feel him staring at me so I looked up and glared into his eyes. 'Fine. My minds a dark place, you don't wanna be there. But here you go then.' I mentally said and let my mental walls down for him to feel what I'm feeling right now. Probably crashed on him like a tsunami wave. Dylan didn't really react at first, just seemed to be trying to take it all in.
'Holy fuck..' He mentally muttered. I gave him the I-fucking-told-you-so face and crossed my arms. 'You're practically at war with yourself over how to feel and your war is causing eight more wars within your war. What the fuck.' Dylan said through our minds. I couldn't look him in the eye anymore and ended up I guess putting my walls back up. I don't know why I let him feel that in the first place, I don't know why I've changed so much over just like three months.
"Okay seriously who painted all this? It must've taken ages unless it was more than one person. And it has to be one of you because of this one." Kat asked then stated as she pointed at the one of Lily and I. My breath hitched in fear as I stiffened a little with my heart stopping, not wanting them to know the truth.
"Dylan and I painted some of it, the rest was from the previous owner. Skye wanted us to make the house match with the whole artwork everywhere design." Lily lied for me. When no one else was paying attention I shot her a grateful smile and mouthed "thank you", to which she nodded in response and smiled back. All those who didn't know the truth gasped in shocked awe at my two friends and commented on how great it is and things like that.
"So you gonna give us the grand tour of your house?" Kelsey questioned in a teasing manor.
I faked a smile and answered, "Yeah. Where we just were was a hallway, the end of said hallway is the living room that holds a couch and something magical to Luke and Mason called a T.V. which is where we are now. Then there's a kitchen and bathroom attached to the living room here and to your left of the hallway is a staircase that leads to my bedroom and another bathroom. That concludes our tour." At the end I earned chuckles and eyerolls. "Anyhow who wants to change out of these stupid annoying clothes and get ice cream then possibly go shopping?" I asked wanting everyone to leave my house. They all lit up in excitement and nodded enthusiastically, not knowing I hate people in my house more than I hate shopping. I hate shopping, too many people I can't beat the shit out of. I opened my bag and pulled out Dylan's clothes handing them to him. Lily grabbed hers off my couch where she left them then went and changed upstairs since she's the only one I trust to be up there alone, I guess Dylan too but not in front of other people. Dylan changed in the downstairs bathroom, Kat, Jason, Drake and Kelsey waited their turns to change because they brought clothes just in case. I went upstairs to my room to change but sat on my bed for a couple minutes, trying to chill out from so many people being here. My anxiety is through the fricken roof right now and I'm on the verge of panicking which made it difficult to breathe. There was a knock on my door and I looked up to see Mason cautiously stick his head out from behind the door.
"Hey, don't mean to bug you but what are Luke and I going to wear?" He gently asked.
I growled to myself and sighed, "Ugh fuuuuuccckk, forgot about that. Just a sec and I'll come down to help you guys."
"Okay. Are you alright? You've seemed a little off ever since we got here."
"I'm fine. I've just never had more than one person over before so it's weird." I answered, somewhat lying.
"If you say so... but between us, I know it's actually your art work everywhere." He replied, smiling a little.
"What. How in the shit snacks would you know?" I demanded.
"Because of the way you avoided answering who made it all. And how defensive you are about it. Also I vaguely remember your art in our childhood and you getting yelled at and punished for it. Anyway see you downstairs." My brother answered, the fuck. I flopped backwards on my bed and smooshed a pillow to my face to silently scream for a minute. I put my pillow back where it goes then grabbed some clothes and got changed then headed back downstairs.
